Would people get beaten up for watching Star Wars in your country?

Today i saw a kid get beaten up on my street aparently due to having watched star wars.

I remember growing up as a kid never having watched it cause i was sure id get the same treatment.

What was it like where youre at? You think people should be beaten up for watching really bad films? Or is there something more to star wars i just dunno maybe due to never having watched it?

Umm star wars sucks I think never watched nor never cared to watch. I was always doing boy things outside didn't watch TV much unless it was bed time..

Star wars... what's that sounds like a nerd movie. No never watched it nor wanTed to. I was playing in dirt and getting into trouble.

If you mean the three new films, I agree. Those people should have their asses kicked. The older ones were pretty good. Then again, if people received violence simply because they had bad taste, 80+% of humanity would be beaten constantly...

I'm experiencing Matrix-esqe glitches....

This is very odd to hear, granted the last 3 films weren't the greatest,the first three are considered by many as some of the greatest movies of all time. You might be a nerd if youre 35 and watching the chronicles of Narnia, but star wars? Its a genre similar to lord of the rings. If anything, lord of the rings is more nerdy. And anime? Wayyyy more nerdy. In the united states everyone is excited. It'll probably gross more than avatar in the range of $3 billion world wide. Very odd someone got beaten up for liking star wars.

I actually would like to beat up the people who think people who like star wars are nerds.
The only books i read in jail were star wars books. I sware to god, if someone had called me a nerd over it, I would've shanked them!

Of course the newer 3 weren't as good as the first, but I enjoyed watching them with my kid. She got into star wars too. She's coming back to see daddy soon, so we can both catch the new flick together. Can't wait

But about them trekkies! Holy shit are they some bigtime nerds.
