yea, to light up your backyard,LOL....why spend 72 bux on sumthing you can buy the real deal for like another 40 bucks, hood and ballast...dont buy that

Yes, it would work for one or maybe two or three plants. It's a 70 watt HPS bulb. You can veg and flower with it if you want. Although it's usually good to do the first few weeks with 6500K fluorescent lights, but just like I mentioned you don't have to start with fluorescents. I'm not sure how you'd wire it though or if it has a ballast built into it. I've seen 150W HPS lights on ebay for around $75 which come with everything you need. Plus, you can simply plug them into a socket which means you don't have to mess with trying to wire it.

LOL Homedepot just played me... It said 150 watt...wtf? i know i would spend that much that i can get 2 for that price..! wth and amazon i can get one 150 for that price >.>
