[Ok sorry for the retarded paint picture (i was going to use my pro engineer software but it took too long) but this is my idea. I have 11 small plants that sprouted earlier this week. I want to use this system to remove heat from both lamps as well as vent and clean the air from my flowering room. let me know what yoUntitled.jpgu think

one more thing the rooms have intakes with 6inch fans (160cfm) already installed so fresh air is getting in.

Nobody can answer without knowing exact dimensions of the box, lights used, ambient temp range, length of ducting ect.

sorry the 2 grow rooms are 3widex3deepx7tall (feet) the distance between the 2 rooms is about 6 feet and the outside air is roughly 70 degrees F. The flowering room has a 600whps and the veg is a 400w hps.

lol look at the picture in the first post and lemmeknow if you think it would work. my goal is to extract heat from both lamps as well as vent the stinky air out of my flowering room

id try it. why not? but the air will be some what heated before it gets to the flower lamp tho. you mite just need a bigger exhaust fan to fix that problem. good luck and happy growing. and i love the avatar ken.

lol thanks, i was reading up on someone elses grow room and he said he had (3) 1000w lights and 2 600w lights inline that all used the same exhaust fan to extract heat. He said his fan was a 565cfm fam so i figure a 4xx cfm fan would be fine.

If your fan really runs at that CFM, I think you would be OK. One way to find out though.

I would buy a T for your ducting so you're not dumping all the heat from the 600w HPS room into your already warm 400W veg. they are like $8 for a 6" T

yep well i just bought an 8inch vortex fan 700 something cfm which is alot more than i planned so im confident it will work.

id think you would want to flip that around, making it vent either outside or into a veg room not a flower room. and if you already have holes in the wall i owuld vent outside mabye acully just flip the WHOLE SETUP and have the fan in your flower room (the sucking in would cause airflow in the room and still blow out any hot air) and then carbon filer between the two room so all the air blowing outside would be odor free and thats just me hope it helps. stay mediacted.

p.s. 3 feet by 5 feet for the first room??? for eleven plants im thinking that might get a little tight, are they all sexed yet?????

no plants are not sexed so out of 11 i will assume 6 will be female. the air from both rooms is being vented into another room ( not my veg or flower room). All of the air is being pulled out and send to a room that is free of growing. i have holes in the wall and the grow rooms are in the same room but the air is going to a completley different room that is not used for growing.

aaawww my bad...diagram is kinda hard to decipher it looked like you where blowing air IN not sucking it OUT of the rooms. best of luck and thanks for keeping Posted.
