Wrapping/Re-wrapping technique to increase yields....does this help?

So, I've been doing some experiments based on some reading I've been doing.

I've been trying this wrapping/re-wrapping technique where for the first two weeks you try to make your stems more horizontal and allow for more light through the plant. Then after two weeks you re-wrap in a totally different angle to kinda of train the plant to get different amounts of light.

What I've found is that by doing this I have more light per inch of height and more lumens to the bottom of the plant. I haven't been able to measure a yield increase but I'm thinking that I've done a little better because the bottoms are looking a lot more solid by doing this.

Has anyone else done a similar thing? Do you think that by training the plants to receive more light at different stages will help, or is it a waste of my time?

Here is a photo of an example of a finished plant, being held up by an ultimate plant cage. It's been wrapped and re-wrapped multiple times, and obviously needs to be harvested, but it gives you the idea:

You need to clean your tray lol...I don't think you affected your yield I think training and not changing the training direction will yield the same without having to play around

lol...this is the end of the run of course the trays need to be cleaned.

Interesting what you say here. I think I'm going to have to measure the difference and see what the end result is. That's the only way I would know. Do one tray with this technique and another try with a normal technique and see if there is an overall difference. I will try report back.

Ya if you do that under the same light ,swap the trays position every day for a more controlled experiment...my reasoning is I can't see their being a difference whether the left side of a bud or the right side is lit up its still getting light, now it could affect yield toward the bottom but if you lst right your already covering that...Idk I like to get my branches into a set place so flipping that around after they are all laying open and in place sounds inefficient..maybe not though

With lst you don't need to waste your time reshaping the plant every few days, you're lsting to create a uniformed bonsai with an even canopy and lots of tops that are bathed in light, anything at the bottom that won't be good product gets chopped, i don't see how you can get any more efficient than this.
