If it's an organic soil grow, don't chase runoff! A pic will be more diagnostic. Also, what nutes are you feeding.

If you water until runoff in organics, then you're pushing out the nutrients that the plant uses and it will need to be reamended. Pics?
Yes with organics and soil/compost ec and that phing go out the window somewhat cos if done right and everything is working right its self regulating is the idea plus things take time to break down and be available for uptake by the plant too with organics you feed the soil not the plant directly
