Wtf?

Whats up people. Ive been growing this plant for about a month now. Maybe 3 weeks at the lease. I had it on a 18/6 schedule. I ended up changing it to 12/12. 6 am -6p. That was the only way that i could keep a eye on it. At first it was growing bushy. I was using just reg cfl's. I ended up changing the lights to general electric plant lights. Out of no where it jus started growing extremely tall. I dont know if its reaching for light or turning into a male. It just started growing weird. Getting really tall. Growing leaves in between at the very bottom.am i doing somthing wrong? Or should i just leave it alone and let it grow

if i were you i would tie it down and that will make those side shoots active. it's called LST or low stress training. your plant will be lower, bushier and you'll have more bud sites. it also keeps your canopy even. another method is supercropping. but it involves breaking the stem and if you don't do it right you'll sever the stem instead of breaking it. so you'll need a wire hanger and a pair of tin snips. cut the hanger and shape it into a J. then just stick one end into the soil and the other around the stem. if the side shoots become too tall they too can be tied down. making even more bud sites.

plants get bigger man, cant change that... earlier in veg you should have put up a SCROG screen or at the very least lst'd the trunk and the side branches to create a horizontal plant instead of vertical, it saves allot of space and you can actually expect decent yeild in a small space.. with the plants already in flowering i wouldn't suggest bending inless the stem isnt too woody yet.. other then that, expect height from when you flip to 12/12to double with indica and triple with sativa in the flower stretch
