It's fine. It's doing nothing wrong except expanding in a way you're not familiar with.
Here's a very important lesson for new growers: plants grow slowly from the human perspective. You can't do anything to fix this. Don't look at your plants every day (or god forbid every hour) and think, "there's more I can do to help it grow faster". You can't.
