XENON-KYRPTON 5200 HID Bulbs

OK, Here is a question I have not seen yet. I ride Motorcycles and have changed all the headlights to XENON-KRYPTON 5200K HID bulbs (Blue) The company also has 3000k HID Bulbs (Purple). Now has anyone ever tryed growing with this type of light bulb or 12v system. Any ideas? If not this ol Biker is going to try, maybe start something new."Paz" (Peace)

ive thought about that. I modified a strobe to stay constant it was 4100k and 20 something watts. but it was weak and big so i scrapped it immediately. all I can say is you will need alot of bulbs and a good ac to dc converter to power them, it may be an issue. plus i believe it would produce alot of heat. I have seen purple growlights before i'd give it a wack if you have the money to blow. Im interested in what your gonna do..

The bulbs cost around 10$ each I believe last time I bought them. The heat is not that bad. If it gets too hot, I will make a cool tube for the bulbs I am going to play with it this week I hope. I am setting up 3 areas 1 for babies, 1 for clf's (6 125w) later 1 250 hps, 1 space for my HID test. For power I am thinking of trying it 2 different ways. 1. AC/DC transfomer. 2. car batt with a charger. when I get a chance I will do the math for current draw. "Paz" (Peace)
