Yellow/brownish leaf tips

Hi everybody. It appears that my 3½ week old plant is suffering a bit, but I cannot determine the cause (see pics). As you can see the tip of the lower leaves are yellow/brownish and the top leaves are starting to show the same symptoms. Does anyone in here know what the potential cause of this could be? In addition, it appears that its growth has be stunted for some reason. It currently stands only 15 cm and the stem is somewhat weak. I'm growing in a 50cm x 50cm closet using 125w CFL flowering lamp (know this is not ideal). The temperature lies between 25 and 27 degrees celcius and humidity is low at 25% - 30%. Thanks.

Those bending leafs and discoloring on the tips look allot like too much water, resulting in rot. What medium are you using and what's your watering cycle?

I had symptoms like these twice in my outdoor grow and was easily solved, back off from watering for a while, depending on your grow medium.

Over 3 weeks in Veg state and so little growth? Either your lamp is no good or that seedling is a bust. What Nutes are you using?

Thanks for the input Incepter. I am using a 1.5 gallon medium with self-drilled drainage. You know, one of those black thin plastic buckets you find in the flower/plant store. I've been watering every 2-5 days depending on what my moist meter is indicating. Maybe I should hold back on the watering for a while. So far I haven't been using any nutes, but intend to do so in about a week. Any suggestions when it comes to nutes? Thanks Again.

Oh forgot the medium. I am using a soil called AllMix Biobizz. It is a mixture of peat moss, spaghnum peat and perlite. Went to the local growth store and they strongly recommended this mix. Ph is 6.6.

Mmm, interesting. Based upon your watering schedule over-watering might not be the exact problem. (I don't use moisture meters, I dip my finger about an inch or two down into the medium. Wet is not good at all, slight moisture what you're looking for) It might also be the fact that the water ain't draining properly, indicating a lack of oxygen to the roots - More experience toker's may need to step in here and help out more specifically.

However I'm worried about such small growth in THAT long time, that plant should have a few nodes by now. I would honestly chuck it as spending time nursing that plant back (if at all) might not be worth it, that is if it's a not-so-expensive seedling. If it's from bunk weed, try another.

For the nutes, You're right around the time to start nuting, could even start nuting a week/week and a half after seedling sprouts.

More experience Growers PLZ drop your opinions to aid in this prob!

Hope you come right Auckland!

you may need to not add nutrients with that soil just yet go till you see you need them. just let it dry out and water it a few times and see if it looks better.

Thanks Guys. Much appreciated! I'll hold off on the nutes and the watering for a while and see what happens. The strain is a White Siberian from Dinafem. Got another one sprouting plus an Auto Chesse and Royal Haze so hopefully these will succeed.
