Yellow spots on bottom branches/dried out

I am having some troubles with one of my plants thats in its 3rd week of flowering. The bottom leaves have a couple yellow splotches on them and parts of some of the leaves are dead. There is also one bud on the plant that looks like its dried out. I am currently growing 5 plants under a 600w hps, basic fox farm soil, temp of 72/humidity of 40, and i just started feeding it 2 teaspoons of tiger bloom every other watering. I sprinkle 1 teaspoon of all purpose 10-4-1 bat guano on all my plants(1 teaspoon a week for all plants). I have the GH Flora series nutes, but i havent used them yet. All of my other plants are fine with the exception of the one as described. What could the problem be? Is it normal for the lower and lower-middle leaves to act this way? Any advice/opinions are appreciated.

Do u have bugs?

My light is exactly 16 inches from the very top of the plant. The fixture my 600w hps light is in also has a piece of glass directly beneath the bulb to reduce heat.

This is not insect damage. This in my opinion is 1 of 2 things or both. The leaves are getting tattered and dried out by air movement such as a fan real close and it also looks as though some liquid of some sort be it a foliar spray ,condensation from aspiration or some splashing occurred while watering with the light on.

Well, I have a spray bottle that i spray the plants with quite often, using quite a bit of water when i spray. Also, I have an oscilating fan about 4 feet from the plant. How far should the fan be and how often should i mist my plants?

thats pretty normal bro.

as it starts flowering, the earliest and oldest leaves start to die off.

remember after flowering is complete your plant will go to Dope Heaven no matter what you do.

the oldest leaves just get there first.

even if you keep her in vegetative mode, lower older leaves will still gradually die off. it's a natural part of the life cycle.

Thaks for the positive assurance dr. kynes. now i am misting them quite often and there are some leaves towards the top that are starting to get little yellow spots. Is it because of the misting? i mist them several times a day, pretty thoroughly. also, i moved the fan back a foot(now 5 feet away from plants).

So what is the point of misting? All that does is put tiny magnifiers all over your leafs...thus burning them.

I asked if misting helps twice for the very reason that i am oblivious to many aspects of growing, being my first grow. I was under the impression that it would create humidity, which is ideal because my humidity has been rather low. Is my fan too far or too close at 5 feet and what would be the ideal distance between my 600w hps and my plants? I currently have it at 16 inches away.

Dude, if you mist your plants with anything and the lights are on you are going to get burned literally. mist them when the lights are off but use a foliar feeding mist if your going do that. No point in spraying just water unless you want to deal with powdery mildew for no good reason and if you have ANY ventilation whatsoever you are fighting a futile battle with the humidity as it will only be increased temporarily. Here is a good rule of thumb... Put that light as close to those goddamn plants as possible. If it feels uncomfortably warm to the back of your hand then raise it up until it feels comfortable. The fan can go as close as you want but the more air disruption and leaf movement you get the more the leaves can take on a dry and damaged/tattered appearance as well as the wind drying exposed soil causing more humidity problems. They do yellow as they get older and that IS totally normal but what isn't normal is where you see the leaves are burnt and slightly yellowing. You will notice that the leaves look burnt and funky toward the bottom edges of the leaves. See what im talking about ? That to me looks like where the mist that you are spraying has condensed and collected and burnt the leaves with the lights on. Let me know if any of my advice makes sense.
