Yellow spots on leaves, starting to curl?

Hello,

So my friend's plants are having problems. First, the leaf tips would go limp and then brown, then yellow spots started showing up, and now the leaves are starting to curl a little. The curl is long ways, the main vein is the highest point, and the sides of it are starting to droop.

They are watered every two days, and every other watering are given half a dose of high nitrogen soluble fertilizer. They are under a sealed/cooled 600w mh growing light which is placed 3ft above the 3-4" tall plants.

She read that epsom salts would fix the yellow spotting leafs (magnesium deficiency?) and did a ph test on the water (only have the liquid drips and not sure if she can test soil with it) and i get a reading of 7.2-7.6 from the water they're given. She knows the ph is a bit higher than it should be, however she read peat moss will lower ph, and doesnt know if she should mess with adjusting it.

Advice?

Check the PH mag diff is usely caused by PH lock out but in my experience the spots have been brownish

Well, she added some vinegar to the water to drop it down to 6.8ph, and hopefully pouring it into the peat soil will lower it even more.

Will the damaged leaves die? When should I expect results before trying something else?

Thanks
