Yellowing and Crispy Leaves from Fungus Gnats?

Hi! Are these yellow spots and some dried/crispy leaves a result of fungus gnats?

Plants are about 2 months old.. blackened orange and orange cookies from Useful seeds.

Growing in coco/perlite/worm casings/dolomite lime/blood meal/bone meal and 4 4 4 organic fert.

I am hoping it just has to do with the my recent infestation of fungus gnats that transferred over from some house plants and it will go away after the gnats are treated. I've been watering with 1 part hydrogen peroxide and 4 parts water for a few days. However, I still see a gnat or two flying when I open the tent. Now I am trying to let the plant dry out for a few days to see it that will help with getting rid of the gnats. I plan on pruning this weekend since it is growing a bit out of hand.

Initially I thought the yellowing was from the lights being too close since the plant started growing so fast. I raised the light up to about 12" for a week and the yellow spotting is still spreading.

The lights I'm using are a 1000W cheapy mars hydro.

Water pH is ~7 and run off is 7.5.

Humidity is 50-60. Temps are usually low high 70-low 80.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

lower your ph to 5.8 to 6.2, get a microscope and make sure you have gnats and not aphids. quit checking run-off, it means nothing

Hm what else do you think it could be? I just bought mosquito bits on amazon so hopefully I won’t need yellow strips.

I have dolomite lime in the medium so I thought pH wasn’t a huge factor since that helps with nute absorption. I will try watering with lower PH and looking into aphids. I only checked run off a few times but good to know!

Fungus gnats have nothing to do with those spots.

I suspect something to do with the blend you mixed up and a nutrient issue.

That does not sound good. This issue just came up within the last week so I wonder if I need to add more nutes.

My medium recipe:
2 parts coco
2 parts perlite
1 part earthworm casings

Nutes per gallon (using 7 gal fabric pots)
2-4 tbsp dolomite lime
1 tbsp blood meal
2 tbsp bone meal
4-6 tbsp dr earth 4-4-4

Well it says on the bag of Dr Earth to add 2 tablespoons per gallon of soil. You added 2 - 3 times their recommended amount when you probably should have added less. Then you added blood and bone meal.

Just give it plain water for awhile. And make sure you get some runoff. Don't flush/soak but just plain water when it starts to dry out.

I see.. Thanks for the insight. Looking back at my notes and the bag of fert I don’t know why I would’ve added that much...

The notes are a little messy I think I would’ve added the right amount of <1 tbsp per gal but noted 4-6 tbsp as the amount needed for the entire 7 gal bag. Oh well I will definitely be more careful next time as this is my first grow! I will water as normal with run off and try to get rid of the gnats! Thanks for the feedback!

I don't know how much you used. I was just going by the 4-6 tbsp dr earth 4-4-4 per gallon you said you used. If that was for 7 gallons then it wouldn't have been too much. Something isn't playing nice. But I don't know what it is. Good luck.
