yellow2.jpg I'm not 100% sure if this is a nitrogen deficiency or an sulphur deficiency. Now, I know the cure to fix both but my question is. If its not a sulphur diff and it is a nitrogen diff will it hurt the plant to put a tablespoon of Epsom salt regardless? All my plants are doing this so you can see were I am concerned or should I say scared!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like nutrient burn to me. Check your ph and just give it water for a while. The plant is small and should be fine with just the nutrients in the soil.

why can't it be nute burn? i wouldn't give a plant that young nutes yet. i would do as opm suggested, i would let it dry out completely before watering again, but definitely check ph and just give plain water for a bit.
It cant be nute burn because it has never had nutes. WOW.

please don't expect me to know that you have not given it any nutes yet. you did not say that. you also did not specify what kind of soil you are using, and as another person has said, some soil has nutes in it, already, so by overwatering, you are also over-feeding. and that's exactly what i think is going on. except that there are so many factors that could totally change that diagnosis depending on your setup, etc.

I apologize for being a smart ass. OK when I started these seeds they were in an organic soil then I transplanted into a 3.5 gal bucket with more of the same soil and after all that I read the bag afterwards (dumb idea I know) and it said outdoor use only. Don't know why but it was. So in a hurry I bought the first soil I could find and it was MM moisture control (I know another dumb idea) but that was all I could find so quick. I didn't know of any FF dealers in my area until just recently but I think its a little late to transplant now, they are roughly 7 weeks from seed. Yeah they are very small for 7 weeks which is why I thought it was a nitrogen or sulphur diff, but if you guys think its nute burn then by all means chances are you know a lot more than me.

The tips of the leaves are burnt, suggesting nutrient burn, but the yellowing looks more like a ph imbalance. I would suggest re-potting at once with a higher quality soil. Organic soils are loaded with nutrients and often have quite high ph levels which are not suitable for seedlings. It will literally fry them. The plant is obviously stunted, but it will survive. For seedlings and rooting clones, use a soil designed for propagation. It is sometimes called "Multiplication Subtrate" and any good gardening store or flower nursery will sell it. These types of soil are designed specifically for germination and contain very low nutrient levels for the development of young plants.

The last time I watered, I watered the plant at 6.5. I dont have a soil tester so I just tested the runoff and it was 6.8. I'm not sure how accurate that way of doing it is but that the only way I know how. So my soil runoff PH being at 6.8 is the reason I didn't think of a PH problem, but like I said I'm not sure how accurate that is.

The plant just looks entirely to yellow. It is a White Rhino, it looks the worst it the tent. The Strawberry Cough and the Kushage had a some yellowing when they were younger but they are better now and they are all 7 weeks old. I will do pics of them in a minute.

yellowsc.jpgyellowk.jpgHere is pics of the Strawberry Cough and the Kushage these are all in the same tent all same soil. I'm using 2 600w. Temp stays at 81 and the RH is 47% roughly. Plenty of fresh air coming in, I have 2 4" intake fan and 1 6" exhaust with a oscillating tower fan.

Dude your using MG soil I know its all you got but you really need to get rid of it ...... get yourslef a quality soil like FF or Promix. I personally use Promix HP dont get me wrong I started out with MG because just my own ignorance. I got serious about it and started wanting to learn more beleive it or not I learned alot from those Jorge Cervantes videos lolll. First off that soil is way to compact man your literally choking those roots of fresh air..... you need more perilite and grab yourself a nice easy two part formula GH has a nice formula the Floraduo is nice also Botanicare does ...... also I know you dont have a ph meter I started out using a soil ph test meter you cannot use it to ph your water ..... I started out with that than moved to a pool ph test kit I just saved up enough to buy a bluelab ph pen. Ditch the MG soil grab yourself a nice two part formula and a ph test kit thats a start..... till than dude its just hit and miss with what your doing now .... a ticking time bomb till something goes wrong.

Based on your other plants, it looks like a nitrogen def. That shows up in the older leaves (typically bottom on a younger plant). Find a good organic source of N and top dress or make a tea. Blood meal is a good option and you can find it most places. Top dress with that (according to directions) and see how it works. Organics will be less likely to burn your plants.

FYI, don't expect yellow leaves to turn green. Once they start to yellow, they never recover. New growth should be your focus.

MG organic choice soil is not bad, it may not contain very many good sources of nutrients but is not a bad soil for so cheap. MG chemicals are shit hole products, but thats a different story. As long as you balance your ph in MG organic choice soil and you make sure you feed it, you can grow AMAZING plants... So PEOPLE stop bashing MG organic and START bashing MG chemical!

If you are using MG chemical time release you should not use that because it is not made for things that are going to be smoked. Its made for having really cute and beautiful flowers.
If you are using MG organic choice, then you are probably experiencing PH problems! Also you serious need to start giving those things some extra nutrients because they are showing signs of being very low in nitrogen.

Im not bashing MG soil dude I have used it before problem is the soil usually is too compact its cheap yeah but why grow a great plant in cheap soil ? If anyone is serious about growing real quality medicinal weed your base should always be a great soil. You could even go the real organic route and make like a supersoil ? I understand its cheap I have used but from my own personal knowledge the ph in that soil is a ticking time bomb ..... get yourself a nice coco soil or peat moss soil it expands you can reuse it a little bit can go a long way......

I dont think you read the other post. Like I said previously, I have been PHing the water to 6.5 and the run off is 6.8. Now I did however add perlite to the already pre existing perlite in the soil. I have a ph tester I just don have a soil tester.

Cool. Thanks man, I couldn't figure out if this was a nitrogen diff or a sulphur diff. I was kinda leaning towards a nitrogen diff because of the leaves turning yellow from the bottom up instead of the new growth turning yellow. Now back to my original question, if its a nitro diff then i need to add nitrogen. I under stand that. If its a sulphur diff then I can add a tablespoon of epsom salt. If its not a sulphur diff will it hurt the plant to add the tablespoon of salt anyway just to be sure.:wall:
