(Yet another) Choosing between lights

Good morning Rollitup!

To start off, I'm anti-DIY. I've read through what feels like hundreds of threads on this forum and a few others about lights, and I don't feel much less confused than before I started!

I haven't grown in 5 or so years, and I've found that LED isn't a joke anymore and am pretty confident going in that direction... which is mind blowing to me, but technology marches on- I'll take all the benefits of LED any day! Sativa-induced ramble over.

I'm getting a stealth grow cabinet, and the flowering chamber dimensions are 2x2x4. It comes with a KIND L450 but from reading through threads here I gather that I'll be unhappy with this light. I can get it without a light and hang my own, which got me thinking about TastyLED and possibly CLW, but because of the amount of money I figured I should ask opinions of people who know a lot more than me before clicking 'Buy'!.

So the question boils down to- 2x2x4 space: Stick with the KIND L450, or replace it with a TastyLED 2100 ... or possibly a CLW SS220?

I'd go with the tasty led. But I know it's a high quality light built with top bin Cree cxb3590s.

The owner is cool enough to provide the light output in lumens, ppf, and provide different ppfd's along with the data to help people decide how much light you may need. Responds to emails quickly and not that you should need one, it comes with a 3 year warranty.

I'd choose the TastyLED T2-2100. I have a T4-1750 in a 2x4 tent and 4 W90s by Area 51 in a 3x3. The Area 51 lights are fine but since I bought them, I've determined that 50% efficiency will be my minimum. The Vero 29 chip doesn't reach that. I was in a rush and the A51s sell out quickly, so I pulled the trigger on them. In addition, Tasty was only just off the ground at the time.(last November) If I had it to do over, I'd have bought two T2-2100s from Tasty for the 3x3. I like their looks, the quality of the components and craftsmanship. It's a work of art by one guy. Rahz does everything, even fabricating the shrouds. I like supporting such entrepreneurs.

Well he said he has an apprentice now. Expanding the operation for the masses.

I'm leaning to the T2-2100's too. Seems that I'd only need one based on that grow space, and maybe supplement with floro's on the sides of the cab.

Only other light I was considering was an Amare SolarEclipse250 but I can't separate the marketecture from the relevant. It lists:

4x CREE CX-B 3070s and 40 (Maybe? I'm having trouble reading their spec sheet) CREE XP-G2/XP-E2s for 250W.

The TastyLED has:
2x CREE CX-B 3590s for 165W

Ignoring price, would I be better off with the Amare? I'm not worried about heat, but do care about how much vertical room I have in the cabinet... One of my concerns about the TastyLED is how frequently people mention excessive fan noise... but I don't know how that compares to other manufacturers.

Amare isn't as efficient, and will put out less light for the same watts. Both should offer similar vertical heights. With tasty you could also pop the reflector off and drop the light ~6" closer.

kind led is plenty of light for that tent (too much actually)
its 270W which is at least twice what youd need for a 2x2

can you delete it as an option? or are you gonna end up with it anyway

A tasty t2-2100 will be more than enough. Well thought out and top quality. Kind should do well as a doorstop. Tasty is a powerful tool to provide lots of great spectrum light to your plants. Kind is a gimmick lookin' for a fool.

Yeah, I can remove the light when I order - I don't get the full value back, but better than getting a doorstop
