YngDomino's 1st PC grow: Bagseed

Well, this is my first grow ever and i'll be starting and finishing in a diy pc grow box. I'm going to grow sum bag seed since it's my first go at growing. I'll be using sum off brand soil i got from a huge gardening store. It was cheap and they say it's better than miracle gro

My pc setup includes 3 80 mm pc fans: 2 for exhuast and the other for intake
3 16w cfl's 1 6500k 2 2700k.....will be upgrading to 26w cfl's
Reflective material is an emergency blanket from a medkit...still looking for mylar or panda film!

i will also be incorporating a temp reader, 24 hour timer, Scrog screen, and sum type of odor reducer when i come into some more cash.

This will be my first grow so tips and feedback are highly wanted and welcomed.....oh, I also wanted to thank all the other pc growers in RIU as well for sharing there knowledge and feedback on pc grows

Also had a question. I see you had those bulbs plugged straight into the outlet. How did you do that? lol

It's well worth the time and money when your high as hell from your own home grown lol
I use these adapters that i got from lowes for $2.50

Awesome! Those things look way better than just hanging some fixtures. lol

yea it is but hanging the strip was a little difficult....i actually hot glued hard drive magnets to the power strip....workin for now!lol

DAY 5 From seed
Upgraded lights to three 26w 6500k cfl's
changed reflective materials....im using car windshield reflector
For soil im using sunshine mix # 4
18-6 time schedule

Day 10
temps are around 80f with light on 75f off

the babies are growing and looking nice and green




Day 16
temps are are at a stable 77f with lights on
plants are starting to turn a little yellow
was wondering what this could be.
Good news is thatThey are starting to get thick at the stems
and there increasing in size as they should.

hm. leaves are looking yellow and curling, are you over watering? that soil looks very moist... sometimes people over water on there first grow because they want bigger plants. Its all in time. Don't give them water until you can stick your finger in the soil about 2/4 of your finger and if you feel dampness don't worry. if its dry, give it a light watering

I usually wont water them for 3 days or until the soil is dry. Is that still too much?
and the temps are starting to get a little high as well... had to open my windows to freeze up the room temperature.

Day 18

• Added a 60 watt 5000 k cfl
• temps are still a little high
• Leaves are yellow on two of the plants

Still trying to figure out what could be causing the yellowing on the fan leaves. I also wanted to know when would be a good time time do tranplants.

Now is a good time to transplant. what type/size pots are you using? and what type of soil if you didnt already mention it. I use a hydroponic system in a large 26.5" PC case. ITS HUGE and im using basically the same setup as you except everything is very clean and thought out and it took me like 3 weeks to make . Try the transplant and if that doesnt work and your not using nutrients then its probably overwatering. Are you using nutrients?

Interesting eventually you gonna go get big get a tent? Get a garden going. those are going to need room lol

I started them off in party cups and one small pot i had from science projects. For soil I used sunshine mix 4 but will be changing to something more organic. Im not using nutrients but when should i start?

I'm going to keep growing in the case but im going to use the LST method.

Using a pc case will be fine. You make it your self? I just put up a post about a watering meter. You should probably buy it because to me it looks like over watering and that thing always helped me

I built the case myself. I spent a total of 75$ and set everything up overnight. I wiah i could get a watering meter but im on a budget lol. Do you know of any quality watering meters for a cheaper price? I also would like to know what you think the best commercial potting soil is or what do you prefer for pc grows so i can do a transplant.

The yellow of the lower leaves are starting to travel up to the plant!
Im bout ready to use piss as nitrogen! I know its a nitrogen deficiency for the 2.
As for the middle lady, she's lookin very sexy. I gotta Give it her props becuase I didn't water that one for almost 2 weeks thinking it died. Yet she prevailed and grew into sumthin sassy LMAO

Well im back....And down to 1 out of the three. I didnt get them the proper nutrients in time and they wilted to there deaths the plant that was neglected of the three for the first couple weeks has outlasted the the other two even tho i didnt have nutes. Strong little fucker she is!!! Oh My how she's grown! I aslo got the proper nutrients. I'll be using Jack's classic for the rest of this grow....Oh and i also transplanted her into diy
pots made of Hawaiian punch bottles. I aslo got a beaner out of some Mids i was smokin not to long ago...I planted her about three days ago and she's already lookin pretty sexy im going to let the big one(JaneY) veg for 2 more weeks and switch to flowering

DAMN i missed it bro, i was going to say maybe the yellowing is happening because your in need of some nutes. did you start giving nutes though?

Also, looking good, looks like its a sativa ill be watching!
