So this is my first grow, and I decided to go with the Main-line method and I am loving it so far. I only have a couple questions
Some of my plants stretched a bit more than others and have a little better light hitting the lower growth. For example this is my CR+ (blimburn) around 2.5 weeks (she started budding on day 11).

She has tons of buds under all those colas, but there are so much fan leaves its starving the buds of light, or at least I think it is. Should I trim up the fan leaves, or should I just leave it as is? I lollipopped them more than I wanted because I figured they were gonna stretch a bit, but right after my final trim around day 9 they started budding. I wasn't expecting that for at least another week, and expected more vertical growth. There is only about 8" from the lowest budding node to the top but is super dense

I also have two Pinewarp (BC bud depot), and a regs seed. They are getting a little better light penetration.

Holy shit I am digging this mainline thing and definitely want to try it but I have a question.

how do i get the plant to have the two " arms that are tied down? in the pictures they are right across from one another, do you manipulate the plant so that happens? I am still confused as fuck on how to actually get them to do what they need to do. can you mainline any ol plant?

Truly incredible, and I am super jealous. Quick question though, what is the songs title? I have been watching this video everyday just so I can listen to it, and then drool over those buds.

Im having a brainfart here lol.. A node is just the ONE growth tip and fan leaf combo on the one side right? or is a node the PAIR of growth tips and fanleaves? see what im sayin?

I am pretty sure it is both. I think it starts out symmetrical, and then moves to alternating left/right side. I am probably wrong and someone will correct us.

Ok so when they are symetrical even tho there is branches going out both sides, we just calling that A NODE not two right? BUT when it grows out an starts getting gaps in between then each branch is a node. Yes?

I wish I could get some better pictures, I am having trouble getting the lighting right, but I will throw up a couple that I took earlier. These are of my CR+ (blimburn) taken today 23 days into Flower. This is also my first grow.

The buds are stacked on top of each other.

Each branch with a potential bud site is a node. Before maturity, nodes (generally) emerge in pairs (two nodes). As the plant matures the nodes begin to emerge one at a time.

Really nice medichronic,

When I look at the plants in my actual ending session, I see one agent orange that I topped by hasard almost like a mainline and the result is clear: the buds are very similar.
I'm main lining my ace of spades and they are reacting good to it.
I will go for ML-8 because there will be many ladies in the box.

I will not going backwards about ML, now I'm both convinced and addicted.
When you see the benefit, you just go for it ;)

ya I agree, this was my first ML and it was truly hard for me to remove as much of the plant as necessary to follow thrue with the technique because I was always under the impression that the more branches = more bud. so to keep removeing and topping was hard for me but the results are undeniable and like you said, I will never go back

Here is an update on the Mulanje Gold #2 Mainlined for 16:

Only 3 big mains left to harvest and a ton of secondary buds:

Another shot of the stem and ML manifold:

Decided to harvest the big stuff:

Can I just run it all fresh in ice water to make hash?

Cheers,
Mo
