60 day automatics

I'm a newbie and would like to know if it is advised that I start my 60 day auto-flowering lemon and white widow on a 12/12 lighting schedule or a 24 hour lighting schedule? I have received conflicting advice so far and I'm sure I will get solid scoop from posting on this site.

18/6 is not the recommend light schedule. 6 hours of downtime are not needed for a autoflower. 20/4 is the best schedule for AF. Some will say to do 18/6 or 12/12 but in my view this will only decrease yield.

Keep us posted as to how they do! Not real interested in auto's for indoor as i can get a reg critical kush in at 80 days. With 20 days veg. But would be interested for next outdoor!

I will keep you posted on how it works out. One more question. Going with a 20/4 lighting schedule for the AF, do you start off with a veg light (6500k) or do I use a flowering 2700k from the start? If anyone can point me in the right direction there I would appreciate it. Thanx!

So is 24 hours bad for autos? Because that's what I'm doing now and nothing is going wrong so far.
I don't think anyone would say 24/0 is bad for autos, but most prefer a 18/6 or 20/4

Several experiments have shown 24/0 is not beneficial in the long run, as it cost more electricity and shortens the life of the bulb with no added benefits

24 hours is ok for autos but 18/6-20-4 is fine as well and cheaper too. Plus longer bulb life. Pretty sure plants like at least some darkness since they are programmed to operate differently at night based on light.
