I just picked up my 600w grow light system. (They have local pickup!) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Apollo-Horticulture-600-Watt-600w-MH-HPS-Grow-Lights-Digital-System-Set-/171015859655?ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:US:1120
I was talking to the guys at the warehouse who sold me the lights, and they told me for my application I should have bought a cooltube reflector instead of the air cooled reflector I bought if I was going to be growing inside a tent.

I they told me I can return my reflector if needed.

So I am really confused on what tent to buy, I can get an Apollo brand tent http://www.ebay.com/itm/Apollo-Horticulture-Reflective-Mylar-Hydroponic-Grow-Tent-Plant-Growing-/171195156326?pt=US_Hydroponics&var=&hash=item6d810db5e9they they have local pickup/return, but they have plastic corners and I heard stories of the plastic corners breaking and the reflector fell on the plants.

Or i been eyeing this Geneva Barns brands tent http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FT9XLI0/ref=s9_simh_gw_p86_d0_i3?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-4&pf_rd_r=00SSWK1RHGT9R8EA7J5Y&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1688200482&pf_rd_i=507846
it has metal corners, cost little more then Apollo tents, no pickup shipping only.

My original plan was to build an other grow tent, but I have built everything I have now myself and I don't want to build another tent lol.

2x 600w apollo dig ballast w/ cool tube reflectors cooled by a 6" fan/carbon filter (cooling the lights) in a 4x8ft MTN tent. For your tent, make sure you get at least 600d fabric. This # references the weight of the fabric. Most larger tents are 600d+, some smaller ones are much thinner. You should get a cooled hood, a tent can get super hot. w/ the setup below, there is virtually no rise in temp in the tent because the exhaust fan is quite powerful.

Your setup looks really nice, and you have a similar system to me. You could help me out. Here is what I received.

Should I return my reflector and get the same on you have?

My main concern is heat, the tent will be in my living space. (I am just so confused on what brand tent to buy lol)

How powerful is your fan to cool 1 600w hps? Also, how much noise does the fan make? That is a big deal for me also.

Mr I Can Do That For Half
Cool tube really do suck. The air cooled reflectors are better but in my 4x4 tents I dont need either Tent doesnt heat up that much with 600 watt open hoods. I have bought many tents and found the plastic corners are fine as they are hardened pvc and I have never had one break in 20 years using them. I also found most no name tents work just as good as name brand but you need to pick one that have venting that fits your need and side wall openings that work in your selected area. Some only front open others open on everyside. I buy my 4x4 7 tents on ebay usally $90 delivered they say like $110 or best offer. My 4x8x8 tents cost $135 delivered never an issue. The appollo ballasts are the same as the no named china ballasts they all come from 2 factories in China. I used to buy bulk for resale. You tell them watt volt you want what wattage dimmiable or not then they ask what color the fins will be and you can send your logo or stickering to them or have them print and they slap them on the ballast. 400 watt ballast were like $40 and 600 watts were $65 $90 for 1000 watters.. Been awhile so probably cheaper now.
