What do you think my yield will be? Rough idea? Rep + all over.

AH, you won't be sorry switching From CFL to HID! The difference is just amazing. I started out with 400w HIDs, and switched to 1Ks. WOW!

I agree, but partially that's because of such trivial use of it.

John Dee is an example of a person with Few Reps but it seems like He has a lot of knowledge.
( a lot more than me!)
JD has always helped me with things when I have questions, along with many other Kewl peeps on the RIU board.

When the Student is Ready the Teacher Appears, an old chinese proverb.

I try and always be the student, but I believe in sharing wisdom given to me.

Many new members are not new to growing, young an old alike.

many new members seem like they shoved a screwdriver
a little to deep in their nose trying to get at a big snot ball
and they went to deep and got Fucked up in the Brain instead.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I agree, I have seen some questionable advice given by people with high Rep. Generally Rep is a decent indication though.
And I second that JD is an example of solid knowledge and lower Rep.

OP, my guess is between 3 and 6 oz...

My guess is you wont get more than 1 oz per plant so 4 ounces all together. As far as rep goes some people give it away like candy and receive it the same way so that part doesn't make you smart because you have high rep.

Don't worry about yield. That will come when you get a better setup. Grow healthy plants without stressing them. If you find a method that works for you then work on improving it. Try not to over feed. This will hurt your yield. I can see its a little late a few of those but back off on the nutrients till they get bigger and can actually use them. Soil retains a lot of nutes. If you continually feed without watering in between you'll get high salt levels witch is toxic for your roots. Feed, water, water. But when you water make sure to get some good run off. Aprox. 2-3 cups. This will flush out un used nutrients so you don't get a build up of one more than the others. Good luck.

Lol. I agree JD is a stand up guy, he's been nothing but helpful. I also agree that some people are just fools, here or anywhere. I'm adding a 400W hps before 20 days are up, I'll figure something out. I don't see the value in growing these girls to maturity without maxing out there potential as best I can. I'd have more end product. I got the cfls on clearance @ walmart 24 bulbs for less then 15 bucks. The first 5 were set up to be females with high humidity, high nitrogen, 14 hour days, etc etc while the three little ones are just turning 3.5 weeks old under 12/12 RED light and have never been conditioned. Most of my attention goes to the 5 big ones and the little ones are just extras I couldn't get rid of or bare to kill and technically still had room for. Thanks again guys. Happy New Year! :peace: Also, REP ALL AROUND!!! Woot woot.

I was looking for a rough ballpark given two opposite extremes. Doing everything right and upgrading to better lights or having a shitty grow in shitty soil etc etc. I've pulled more then 4 oz off a single plant outdoors. I posted in the cfl sub-forum specifically looking for someone with experience in cfl grows with this many lights who could give me an accurate, factual reference and not a blind guess based on anecdotal hearsay that you can't get a great yield using CFL. Yes, cfls have limited penetration hence the suggested distance form the plants. At the same lumen output and having a higher red/orange output relative to an HPS I can't imagine it being so significantly different that there would be such a schism in theory. Which is why I'm trying to find someone who has actually grown all the way through with as many bulbs or more as I have now and has looked into the comparison between hps and cfl. Thanks again RIU. HNY! :peace:
