It was very common for young girls to get married around the early 1900s. My grand mother was very proud of the fact that she got married when she was 15 and stayed married for a very long time, pretty much until death..Times are much different now so it is not as popular anymore. There is planned parent hood now that will keep the young girls from having to get married like in the old days.
