what you are talking about is a sediment and chlorine filter. i use one as a pre-filter on my r/o machine. i'm not really sure what it would do for your water's EC though. i've never run just the pre-filter. went straight to r/o with the pre-filter. not sure you'd wanna waste the money on an experiment.Thanks for that info!
It looks like I'm gonna have to suffer tap water with an existing ec of 0.7 then. What about a tap attachment water filter. Just need to bring that EC down a bit. 0.4 is very workable but 0.7 is just too high!
i don't think getting an r/o filter would be suspicious though. i have one at my house in the states and it feeds my fridge, ice maker, tap spout next to kitchen faucet and i fill up 5 gallon jugs for the water cooler with it. i only drink r/o water. a lot of people do.
