How do these Trichomes look?

Looks like they're just starting to get opaque, so you've still got at least a few weeks to go. Btw, it looks like you're checking a leaf. When you're checking for harvest time, look at the trichs on the buds themselves (or so I've read anyway).

Cheers!

That's a leaf.. Can't tell.. I need a bud. Pic is nice I give rough estimates based on photos. It's your judgement on the trichs.

these are 7 weeks into flower currently, really chunky bud development, ill get some pics when lights are back on, still lots of thick white hairs though with only a couple of red here and there, these are Dutch passion cal orange grown in DWC 600w HPS, IONIC Nutes

ive lost two ladies over xmas due to herming, but the reaming two are ok upto now, fingers crossed they make it through, the other two have been removed. i just hope the other 2 mature enough before they herm too!

Learning so much by this 1st attempt, and can only get better every time due to knowledge and experience im sure!

other than just the trichomes I just wait till she tell me she's done
i love this post great example
we will start with ripeness. most people say to check your trichromes with 30X magnification. i have other ways. when buds are done they look "done". the appearance of the bud changes. the leaves start to hook upwards and become hard and crispy. the calyxes will swell and the hairs will turn brown. you can see a golden tinge to the bud leaves. this is the amber crystals. they start to turn amber on the leaves first.

notice the difference? it's pretty easy to see once it occurs.
your patients will be rewarded :)

oh and based on that last pic i'd say you have 3 or 4 more weeks :)

From what I've heard dutch's cali orange ends up being a 9-10 week strain. From the look of your sugar leaf trichs I'd say your right on target for a harvest in around 15 days

Those "herm" seeds are 100% female.......they may or may not be to stable (prone to herming) BUT 20 - 30% of them "should" run normally.
Just try to keep them as stress free as possible if you grow them out!!!

DP says 60 days cycle, thats up in 7 days, how often are the banks wrong on the expected cycle time?
From what I've read the Seed Banks are always wrong by 1-3 weeks.
they quote growing in an optimum condition, then Maybe they shorten it a little to make us think it's faster than it really is.

What to look for at harvest; Fan leaves turn yellow, hairs darken and recede into the buds and ~25%-75% amber trich's. A lot has to do with personal preference if you ask me, they say less amber = a better head high and more amber = body high. I think it has more to do with taste, smell and potency myself...but I would say with most quality seeds/plants regardless of the strain you should let them flower 8 weeks, minimum, not a day less(Unless you don't mind substandard quality)! And THEN you can start asking yourself if your girls are ready to go to prom or not, dig? :) Hope this helps!

Those time frames are based on PERFECT growing condition's... So, wait until it IS done over the time frame you read online or whereever
