Deciding on strains

Hello everyone,

I want to grow 4 plants under a 400w HPS and i need some help deciding the strains.

I am thinking of growing 4 different strains.

Some strains i am thinking about are :

Barney's LSD
Barney's Critical Kush
Serious Seeds White Russian
Reserva Privada Kosher Kush

What do you think about these?
I want average to good yield and high potency.
Any other ideas ?

You can work with the ladies to increase yield of any strain/phenotype. What would you like to do, how would you like them to grow? With a 400w hps which emits about 50,000 lumens, you will for sure have enough for the girls to absorb and photosynthesize all that they want and need.

As for increasing yield, I would encourage you to keep the light close, amend with lots of mykos, even plant the seed in a bedding of it. Add even more mykos than you feel is enough. They will love you for it.

Once you have a solid root foundation, and a few nodes, the option(s) of topping, fimming and lst'ing will also help the lovely gals expand out, thicken up, and ensure that all shoots are about the same height.

Idk too much just yet, Novice right here.. But as for the white russian, I've only heard good things about it and its got a beautiful color when in flower! Well every plant is different, but you get the idea. And I'm a big fan of SCROG's, it keeps the plants low and makes the plant release auxins, "hormones" which allow the plant to produce multiple heads with out topping. <-- Not exact definition.. Hope this helps!

Kosher Kush is a very nice option. High potency, easy to grow, not a great yielder but decent - smaller but very dense buds. Had bad luck with White Russian a few years back. Turned out terrible in all respects - no density, low potency, and bland flavor. Also had bad luck with a couple Barney's strains 4-5 years ago but not those you listed.

I would look at Bodhi (SSDD is great, Lucky Charms and Dream Beaver being two other fine strains), Sin City (Blue Power and it's crosses), Snowhigh Seeds, and Gage Green Genetics for uber-dank gear.
