yeah i wonder if anyone like spreads grass seed or anything to cover trails

Westcoast- have you used osmocote before? we use it at the plant nursery I work at and also have used to use it myself outdoors, still do for container gardening for annuals just not ganja. I'm not certain whats it made with but I quit using it and now use strictly organic materials and not just I but others have commented on the taste difference. I takes a good 3 months to breakdown completely and the soil. afterwards I the containers always appears devoid of microlife. i will find worms in containers using organic products at seasons end but never in the containers where osmocote was the fertilizer used.
it is cheap though so in that manner it is appealing but a bag of foxfarms marine cuisine or similar product would work the same as the osmocote and be beneficial to the microbes in the soil. also the end product should taste better.
you've an excellent patch and probly know as much/more than myself but just a suggestion. I wish we could rock patches like that in my area it is a tad to urban. it is the countryside but still well used.
anyhow defintly jealous of that nice patch

hahahaa, yeah were kinda spoiled here on the west coast, i live in a town of less that 500 people. in the heat of summer. much respect to everyone who has to hide their shit, it must be hard!

thanks for the input man, i have used osmocote before, but only near the beginning of the season, by fall the plants always run out of food and need some soluble bloom fertilizer. as far as micro-life and organics, i am all for it! but sadly all our water is chlorinated, (we have town water, plumbed out to the spot) so it dosent really work in the long run, with them needing water sometimes every day in summer any microbes would be killed by the chlorine or the wet/dry cycle. so for out in the bush we stick to synthetics, and amended recycled soil from previous grows.Westcoast- have you used osmocote before? we use it at the plant nursery I work at and also have used to use it myself outdoors, still do for container gardening for annuals just not ganja. edit: last spring we seeded the patch with grass seed to cover all the broken ground we had made, with the terraces and paths and such, it worked really well! by fall they were re-seeding the hill themselves!

making trails is something that is unavoidable for the most part even visiting your patches once every 15 days or so will leave a small trail. make it unappealing for someone to want to follow by going through the least friendly way to get to them.
my way there are lots of deer that make big trails I use theirs as much as I can. I will plant near big dear trails if the spot is good. I use urine from coyote, wolf or fox I buy from the gun shop ($10 for 16oz) to keep the deer away from the plants. between the urine and some cut up irish spring bar soap the deer will completely change their trail coarse to avoid the patch that I spread the deterants around.
in the end you can do everything possible and still just get plain unlucky.

you couldn't let your water set out to declorinate it? a few 50 gallon buckets and a cheap pump to water with. I wish I could get up something like that myself as I must haul mine in and it can be a bitch some years. I have no experience using chlorinated water but I have a water softener at home and it makes it unuseable for plants. I must use pond water for outdoor plants and spring water for inside. I may try to change to pond water inside next run. my spring water is what you would call hard water ph of almost 8, not the best.
regardless of what you use you have a fine patch and look like your getting things done nicely

haha i do just that after i haul all my promix in lol... looks like a cow trail after i get done and momma comes right behind me with the last bail and seeds the trail with grass seed and puts the branches and dead trees back the way they where then we make a whole new way in completely different we also feed the coyotes doggie bones and they stay around and kill all the rabbitts ,deer etc for us lol.. have had the coyote pups get into the promix and make a big mess just like puppies do .

haha the first 10 years of guerilla growing i made a different mistake each year so after 20 years now not to many these days but most everyone does it wrong first and then fix it but makes a different mistake the next year and so on .so iv'e damm sure done the everything that can go wrong part over the years . lol....

Liddle, I've all ready seen where posters mentioned about raised mounds for planting and you said your all ready on high ground. I live on top of a hill with clay soil and have been growing on this hill for years. It sounds like your mind is set but I know when it rains the hole will fill up with water and the clay will act just like a pot with no holes and drown the plant. I know several other growers in this area and we all have the same issues. If you are set in digging your holes I would recommend digging some drainage channels so this won't happen, otherwise after a heavy rain your plants might float around and damage your roots if they survive it. Just my 2 cents. I would hate to see your hard work ruined after a good hard rain.

hunted whitetails for 2 decades and never even seen one before. haha and it's got a little brake. once i tried to use the little dolly thing for my canoe. it couldn't take the abuse and ruined it quick. that hauler looks like it will handle good use. nice!

Oh shit maqn!! I went and spent 200 buks on one of those!! waste of money!!. They are just too wide to get throught the woods fast. You also have to bend down alot with the one I got, it really kinda suked. I took the bails off and carried them on my shoulder. But I was at home depot walking around and found a dolly with big tires, 5ft tall works so awesome!! Its only like 20" wide with is easy to get around trees, over trees and rocks thru streams... every where easy
