took some magnified pics of the bleached buds... not easy shooting through a tiny hole, but i think it came out ok.
what do you think?

Hash tips is something I've never come across and not many people even seem to know about it
It seems to me someone got beaching and called it hash tips
those pictures just look like crowning buds that beached

i'll fucking call this "Bud Cocaine", and think of it as a great success

i moved the lights away from the plants. they're all they way up on the top of the tent and cant be moved any further. hope no real damage is done.

although i must say.... people talk about lack of chlorophyll and how it's a bad, unnatural thing for a plant... to my untrained stoner's eye, these buds look delicious...

Ok, I suggest reading that entire thread. The white under the trichomes is bleached plant material. It isnt solid trichomes like the idiot author states. Further, if we agree that chlorophyll is needed in the leaves/plant material to produce trichomes, then why would we want to bleach it out of the leaves?

Tons of sticky crystals is because of the strain and the entire rest of your grow has been good. I don't believe the bleaching has anything to do with making more of them. My KK's and Holy Grail Kush ( KK x OG#18 ) are just as loaded with crystals.

I'm not convinced. I could be wrong. And I'll allow myself to learn about it. But so far I believe it's not what we want. Do read the rest of that thread though too. And research some more.

given the fact that the bleached buds are covered with trichs, as the pictures show, and will probably get you high (or me, actually), shouldn't they also taste better due to the lack of chlorophyll?

I don't know tbh. When I bleached under LED I clipped it off and threw it away.

To be honest, it's either. I don't know. I got mixed up with my clones/seedlings and forgot which was which. I want to say HGK, but it could be KK.

yes irreversible, but anything you can do to further the distance will prevent it from going further. You can even supercrop and support the branches, as they won't knuckle up at this point.

ok, you have some serious bleaching going on there. Your led's are too close. That's why those bud tops are bleach white. Wish you had shot a pic sooner.

I run in hydro, so I don't have to take any time to flush per se. But I go by the trichs. I like an upiddy high, so I let only about 5-10% get amber. My last batch went 75-82 days.

I'd really like to see a couple pics stepped away from the plants to gather the effect of your mainline. Where I normally post a guy has an awesome journal going using that method. But they changed the name to fluxing, in an effort to shy away from mainlinings other connotations.

here you go fishyhead, just saw your request now, here are some pics showing my fluxing i actually like this name better...

this girl is the best example, topped 3 times, creating a symmetric hub, or manifold of 8 main colas. so each cola is at the exact same distance from the central stalk and the roots.








with additional training you get lots of smaller growth shoots, but the 8 fat main colas are very easy to spot.

Personally it does look cool, but the next thing that usually comes after bleaching is burning and you don't want the latter.

Okay, here we go...
"Hash Tips" are not real, it was a sales gimmick that Hydroponics Hut used to help sell their brand of LED lights.
What they had originally pictured on their site was a pic of a bleached out bud, that had built up an abnormal amount of trichs on the pistils.
This caused those pistils to turn brown and stand out, thus making them look like tips of hash growing from the plant.
Fast forward to now (2 years later) and we can see how most people didn't understand what they were looking at in the first place, and confusion has set in, where some folks now think that bleached buds are actually hash tips.
Thus is the danger of false advertising on the internet, it lives on long past it's usefulness, as even Hydroponics Hut no longer discusses hash tips in their advertising.

As for threads about hash tips, yes, they exist.
But try reading past the first page and you'll see that the thread quickly loses steam as more and more people point out the obvious falsehoods about bleached buds and hash tips.
As for hash tips, no, they do not exist.

Although I already knew "hash tips" was bullshit that kids make up to make them seem like they did something right or cool.

Just trying to help, first the bleach, then the burn. Be careful how close they get.
Seems LED produce hotspots.

Hey Everyone,

day 59 of 12/12 and the end is near
last night was the last feeding, and i plan on starting to flush this Saturday. looked at the trichs today, still seeing clear ones, but more than half are looking nice and milky, some amber ones here and there, but very few. ill try to take some magnified pics next time i post.
the white buds are still white :/ no surprise there, but it seems like the bleaching is not spreading any further. some colas are getting too heavy and are leaning against the side of the tent, will have to tie them like i did with the others.
