During flowering id water when lights just come on. You can water when lights out if U use a green light, it doesn't affect the light cycle of the plant...one downside to watering during lights out is ur more susceptible to mold but if U watered like an hour b4 lights on I wouldn't worry 2 much

Im sure someone will chime in n give a better time to water but my reasoning is that the lights are not at max heat yet so ur less likely to burn em if U get some water on the leafs n its basically like us having breakfast in the morning, it gives energy to the plant for the day n no need to disturb them so the atmosphere stays optimal.

the plants take up more water during the day so when u water at lights out the moisture stays in ur grow area a lot longer which increases the humidity and the chance of mold on ur buds, if u water just as lights are due on then they will get the most out of the feed during the day and by lights off the moisture level wll have dropped reducing mold risk,

its always better to water (veg & Flower) just b4 lights on or after lights are on, always avoid watering when lights just went off if u can.

Story lads, thought I should finally jump in here, been doing some serious creeping on this thread over the last few months.
Anyways, flipped to 12/12 today, been veggin since early Nov, have an og kush and a 'lennon' freebie scrogged under 150w hps, 2x 75w 6400k cfl's and one 75w 2700k cfl, all wedged into a box 400mm wide, 550mm deep and 1m tall, bit of a battle keeping temps down but their still alive so must be doing something right!

Must say I've really gotten into it, only started as I had a few days off and was bored, hopefully I'll make it thru til harvest without messing it all up!

just stopping in for a min, hows all this fine evening... its lashing here but the good news id the velux isn`t leaking anymore (silicone ..fixes most thigs hahahaha) and i`ve taken to drying the roof of the shed on a daily basis, that being today and yesterday, with some cloths and wringing them out to see how much water im getting in there, in all reality a dehumidifier would have had its work cut out, (were talking litres) so looks like its the sealing the roof and lineing it with insulation route.. (honestly its never the easy way).....

Welcome on board dude. Sounds like a funky grow. Think @r31 has a og kush too. Post some pics when you get the chance.

Jesus dude. As soon as you are close to bricks and mortar for more than a week there always seems to be some construction work on the cards. ;-)

great to hear from you mate, hope alls well with the family. Silicone is some badass tack haha

About watering, garyboy has it pretty much covered. Plants store water in the roots at night and in leaves and branches during daylight hours. So watering is best when lights are just on. best time for harvesting when lights are out so less water in buds.
