Mixing for Winterizing BHO

Hello all, I been making some nice Winterized BHO recently, now I havent been making this for a long time so I am still learning. I been making a lot of crumble which I got down pretty good. I am always looking for ways to make my product better. I think the best part of Winterizing BHO is that if you get a fucked up batch of BHO you can always fix it with Winterizing. What I want to know is what other people are using to Winterize their BHO? Right now I am using Spirytus 192 proof, works pretty good IMO, its also the easiest thing for me to get my hands on at a local store. Another question I have is how much do you mix into your product when Winterizing?

Any info would be great, I appreciate any feedback too.

Thanks, yeah I leave it out at room temps for about 15 minutes and it pops right off. Do you make Winterized BHO, if so what do you use and how much do you mix with your product before putting it in the freezer?

Has anyone ever tried using Dry Ice to speed up the Winterizing process? I thought about giving it a try.

Slow and steady..the slower you cool it the better under most circumstances.. the slower you cool the bigger the precipitate.(easier filtering and just better quality) slow and low..like good tx barbeque
You want to add hot etoh and add just enough for it to be fluid and be filtered. Try 5:1 idk I go by feel, but not a lot! If you use too much obviously as much crap won't fall out

Purdy and nicely presented.

We use azeotropic 190 proof Clear Springs or Everclear.

We just splash it in by eyeball, but up to around 10:1. Enough so that at 0F it still flows like alcohol instead of heavy oil.

Yes, we've used a denatured alcohol and dry ice bath at -70C and it worked in about thirty minutes.

The blades I got are from a friend who gets them a paint store. They dont have any oils or lubricants on them. Yes I dont re-use blades now, but before I use to soak them in alcohol but I found that they would break much easier so its just better buying new ones. I didnt want to mention that my mixing was eyeballing it. I have tried more and less with mixtures and didnt find a difference in end results, other than it taking longer to evap. I know I use way too many blades but I cant think of a better way to get it off the pyrex dish, any recommendations? Trust me, I am all ears on this cause my finger tips are numb after hours of scrapping and my hands are sore worst then trimming pounds of buds. Thanks for the input, I appreciate it!

I have a few batches in the freezer so today I will be doing some more scrapping.

i just poured 80 milliliters of iso over 11 grams of oil.. seemed wayy more than enough..

but better to have easy run through, like fade mentioned.. too thick, and you will clog up filter(loose oil)

I too rather have more then less when mixing. I just need to find a better way then using the razor blades. I have done so much scrapping since last week my finger tips are numb and I even have blisters. Fucking sucks.
