I've had a couple. My name actually is rotary but spelled with wee on the end because rotary engines will make you say just that. I've had 3 RX-7's and an MR2

where my fellow rotor monkeys at?

paddle shifters. you can see them in the second picture barely. car is a beast and rides so smooth.
OK........lovin the car, just not so into the "paddle shifters", I need my clutch, to really make my car move, and an automatic........I couldn't beat a turtle off the starting gate with one.

When I bought the Nissan, they had to give me a loner, because they cut a bad key, and it got stuck in the ignition.

It was an automatic. I had ir for 3 days, and , when I got my new car back , I KNEW, I would never buy an automatic , again.

Still trying to get my son to drive a stick, and to stop clutching the seat, when I drive, i am a fast driver........heavy footed, they call it, but, I am a safe driver, because first and foremost, I watch what OTHERS are doing, as well as what I'm doing. i think thats an all to common mistake, only watching ahead and behind.........thats how you get hit, out of the blue , by some ass , who is eating or texting, and never even see's you.
PLUS.......I never drive stoned, ever, as it does hamper my attentiveness...........ok........post deep enough, back to having fun......

nice..........my favorite car , ever, was a 1968 ,Charger........383, blueprinted, high rise manifold, headers and cam., that car had L 60 tires on the back, and could smoke to know end. That car kicked ASS........would love to have never gotten rid of it...........sigh......... : (
I love to smoke em a little, but the price of tires makes me feel so damn guilty afterwards!! 383 was a great engine, still is, I wish I could bore out the engine a bit, but I do like the gas mileage she gets now. 22 mpg on a good day. Forgot to add I have a K&N CAI, a tuner so I can microtune anything, catch can, 180* T-Stat, Zoomers Exhaust, JB Headers. She makes me happy.

Beauty Audi too, that had to be exxxxxpensiveeeee!

I'm a big fan of Audi's and always have been. they incorporated something called "launch mode" into the S and RS models. Basically you put the car in park, hold down the break, switch to first gear with the paddle shifter, floor the gas peddle and the car will idle at 5000rpm. as soon as you let go of the gas peddle the car is a beast off the line. will take any manual in it's class by far. 0-60 in 3.7s. I've used it a few times and it will snap your head back. especially for a car that weighs 5000lbs.

I had a 01 camaro had almost 600 to the wheels could not get traction for a accurate time.
G35 sedan blacked out lowered built motor bored cammed and 12 psi. Never dynoed I blew it up and put a factory motor in and sold it.
I Have still the oldest project a 99 2 door tahoe sport all 1 ton big block 4wd 8 lug roll cage. I am building the motor one day my child was born almost 3 years ago and its been on back burner for awhile now as its only a 2 seater and not usable with my child. So I have been tinkering with it but nothing serious. It was my car show vehicle but it holds 4 15s 4 6x9s from rear ceilings 2 6.5s at b pillars 2 6.5s in kick panels and 2 6.5s in doors. 6 amps all together. Its a major money pit but its my bitch and my most favorite truck.

i'm not a major gearhead but you may wanna call audi about that. this is off their website for the new RS5 which is the same exact engine as the S6. I may be wrong but from how they explained it to me it was a new technology in the 2014 S and RS models.

Engine

Propulsive power for the Audi RS5 Cabriolet is supplied by a high-revving, naturally aspirated V8 engine with FSI direct injection. From its 4,163 cc of engine displacement, it outputs 331 kW (450 hp) at 8,250 rpm and produces a maximum torque of 430 Nm (317.15 lb-ft) between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm. The 4.2 FSI with red painted cylinder head covers that is manually assembled in the Hungarian plant in Gyõr achieves a specific power output of 79.5 kW (108.1 hp) per liter engine displacement; each hp only needs to move 4.267 kg (9.41 lb) of vehicle weight. The long-stroke engine with its aluminum crankcase breathes freely; flaps in the exhaust tailpipes vary the sonorous acoustic backdrop. As an option, Audi can deliver a sport exhaust system with black tailpipe trim.

The Audi RS5 Cabriolet rockets from a standstill to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 4.9 seconds. The car's top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155.34 mph); at customer request, Audi can boost this to 280 km/h (173.98 mph). The powerful V8 has a combined fuel consumption of 10.9 l/100 km (21.58 US mpg). Its cylinder liners and chain drive are optimized for minimal friction, and the oil pump is only driven as needed.

Here's a pic of my best 7. Ran 13.6 @ 105mph Had a piggyback fuel management, boost controller, straight 3" turbo back (try driving behind that lol can you say stinky?), kn filter, and port polished manifolds/turbo.

Sold it after I ran from the cops and subsequently got a dui.

Do you know what naturally aspirated means?
means that the air is drawn into the cyclinders via pressure when the cyclinder is drawn downward.

i'm not trying to be a dick man...i'm just going based on the research and the information given to me at the audi flash dept. when I upgraded the car. if I am wrong then i'm all ears. like I said...i'm not a gear head. I know enough about cars but no where near mechanic level.

I can change oil, belts, hoses, brake pads, etc... but i'm no gearhead. I tinker a little.

I think the issue is ... two different cars. The RS5 is listed as naturally aspirated (no boost such as turbo-or supercharging).

Word man, neither am I. But I did chuckle when I read naturally aspirated twin turbo. Naturally aspirated means the engine has no power adders like turbos, superchargers, nitrous oxide, propane injection, etc. I can't remember the engine or vehicle model but I believe BMW is the only manufacturer in history to achieve positive intake pressure without the use of power adders. That's hearsay though from my old shop teacher, so don't quote me. NA engines will not go over 0 psi, like you said, they have vacuum in the intake manifold.

woahhhh drooool

what I would do to drive one of those. Best thing I ever drove was a seriously modded 95' M3 setup for auto-x, fun as fuck! I couldn't get that thing to understeer at all and I was pushing it hard.

hmm...me thinks me needs to do more research. :bigjoint: thanks for the explanation. I need to do a little more reading. I've always wanted to know more about cars and engines but it's never been my thing. only so much time in the day. appreciate the clarification guys.

Direct injection means your air and fuel mixture is mixed right in the cumbustion chamber not in the intake runners, throttle body or carb. Naturally aspiration is just that, forced induction would be either a turbo or supercharger or in the case of the lancia delta evo both lol. Not that that needed to be added at all.

Love cars, not allowed to buy a fast car no more though otherwise id prolly have a new boss 302 sitting in my driveway then again theres four feet of snow on the groud.
Still would take this over just about any car
