Looks pretty complete......I couldn't see how much you get for the price but definitely a nice variety of amendments and rock dust in that blend.......

Once you mix your soil, brew a tea with some flower mix blend and some castings and wet the mixed soil down with that to really jump start the micro herd....let sit for 4 weeks.

If this mix loses steam just top dress with some left over cooked soil or flower mix blend....

it is the product you linked......I should of said Build Your Own Soil flower mix instead of flower mix blend so not to cause confusion............... I just called it that for short.....

That looks good. The bag only makes 3cf, so I don't think it's the best bang for your buck, but it is a well rounded amendment.

The most expensive thing for you will be worm castings. I would highly recomend starting your own worm bin. For the price of a 2cf bag of castings, you can buy some worms, a container, and some bedding and make your own superior vermicompost. The source of compost/vermicompost you add to your base is the most important part of building a good soil.

Thanks for clarifying. I'm in an apartment at the moment so my storage/mixing space is limited which is why I was attracted to this. I don't plan on growing more than 2 plants per harvest so I was thinking this would be enough for a run or 2. Hopefully ill be in a house by summer, which is why I'm trying to figure it out a little before I do it large scale.

Definitely read how beneficial that is. But with my limited space, I won't be able to set something up like that until the summer. Since I'm currently setup in a closet, I plan on only running 2 plants. I was just curious if this mix would be a good small scale alternative to having 5-6 boxes of stuff that would take me a few runs to use up.

The build your own soil mix will probably be too hot for small plants......I would either make a lighter batch for smaller plants or buy a small bag of decent bagged soil....roots is pretty pricey.

As far as super soil, the build your own soil mix is the same as making super soil and has more variety of amendments and rock dust than the super soil recipe.

Teas can be applied few times.....I prefer one in early veg and one at the beginning of flower.

thanks a lot!! So my next question is... Would I be able to switch my currently growing plant from synthetic nutes, to a bagged soil like roots? Or would I need to start new with a new clone or seed? I've attached a pic of my little og kush

So my next question is, can I make a mild tea out of the roots organic soil I bought, or would that just make weak brown water?
