hey man,
in the 90's there was an afghani strain that my family/friends had from a crazy old grower from america and apparently it was an old cut.
We kept the clone going for 15 years and produced massive buds with purple hairs under metal halide or under the sun. I think it was a high yielding lowland variety - it had a 2x stretch.
It was potent as but tastes harsh and earthly, it had a sweet bubblegum resin aroma to it during flower but cured out to a pungent hash smell.
didn't get any good pics of the strain though, honestly had the biggest buds I've seen.
hmm not the greatest plant but you can kinda see the red hairs.
On the other hand I think Uzbekistan have stronger genetics (tashkent) this is only 3 weeks into flower and is similar to my afghani in aroma and growth but this variety has way more hash potential.
It will be cool to see if your plants are afghanica and don't grow taller than 4-5ft being grown so high. You can't really get legit afghanis in seed form anymore, apart from Deep Chunk from Tom Hill.
Your best bet of finding good plants is open pollination and do a 'real' selection from the 2nd generation. It will be cool if they're low yielding hash producing plants.
