Hans pannel

Just wondering if anyone is using the Hans pannel and how it's working out.
Are you using full power on the pannel when your plants are in veg mode?
What kinda height are you setting it at?
Thanks

Check out PSUAGRO he has had some great success growing with Hans panels https://www.rollitup.org/led-other-lighting/531652-testing-hans-panel-56watt-cree.html, although his grows were with an older panel, and i don't think he has the newer one (has white LEDs). that came out earlier this year. I did see one grower that had the new one, don't know what the thread was but if you do some foot work I'm sure you could find it easy. as for full power on veg mode it runs at 28 watts you can check out the different stages on his web site http://www.bonsaihero.com/ledgrow.html, if you are going to go the LED route and have the 500$ to shell out I dont think there is a better option, although some would argue that Area 51 is on par. hope this helps

P.S. not to sure about the hight but Hans does use wider angle lenses so they can be placed closer to the plants, every strain is different so its best to adjust it according to what your plant is telling you.

Right on, I did actually see PSUAGRO grow with the Hans panel, some nice info, I actually have 2 (new) panels now and just started a grow, a friend of mine gave me some clones that were just staring in bud mode so it took awhile for them to start rooting , they finally started rooting 5 days ago and there Triple their size now, I'm running my panels on full power, I would post a pic from my phone but I do t think I can

It was a toss up to get the Hans panel or the Area 51 I choose the Hans this time
there both great panels I personally have a custom Apollo 10 from cidly that is doing better than I expected I tried to use a similar ratio as the Hans. I've got a few more weeks before harvest. I don't expect this light to last very long as they run there LEDs hard, and its components are much cheaper than the Hans or A51. but i purchased it with this in mind and ill be happy if it pays for its self which it will probably do in this grow plus some change. for my next one I'll most likely go with a Hans panel. I would like to make my own but looking at the price of LEDs and the equipment needed if I were to make a panel with the same specs as the Hans it would end up costing me more.
do you have a thread of your grow, I'm interested in seeing how his new panels do.

For seedlings, or plants under 8 inches.. I use the seed setting.. 23 watts or w/e
I think it helps them grow as the higher settings actually seem like they are too intense unless you raise the panel quite a bit.

I keep the panel like 13 inches above the seedlings.. or so. Once there's some definite growth with some leaves that can really absorb the full power of the LEDs I will lower the light and then eventually change to full power settings.

Hans are great.. I'm literally amazed every time I look into my flowering tent. Never seen healthier plants.
Also the buds all over the plant are mega-dense.
It's entirely up to you how much you want to yield of a panel... Get a nice even canopy and you will be amazed.
I've got from 25g to 81g off of a single panel just switching up veg times and canopy training technique(lollipop, lst, topping, fimming).

Enjoy ze hans =D

I don't have a grow thread yet, but I'm gonna make one so I can post my pics and get any advice on what I can do better

I've got 3 of the newer hans panels that I'm currently in week almost 3 and there looking great. SO Awesome and trichomes are already appearing, I plan on buying 2 more of his new 85 watt panels here first week of next month, I have a 2.5x8x7 closet that I bloom in can't wait to have 5 of his panel in there. As far as distance goes I just suffered a light burn the plant stretched overnight and was about 3-4 inches from the panel and had some bleaching and light burning, not really burning as the tip was still wet but it was faded kinda differently from a floro burn or hps burn. I now have the tops of all 3 plants currently in flower about 8 inches away from the panel, Oh the light burn occurred the day after I switched to full bloom phase on the panel so be mindful...

I've done every method. Main lining is very strain dependent. Some strains just don't work with it. I still get the best yield and largest buds doing Christmas tree style. Just super cropping the main stalk a few times. I have even had lower buds that were larger than main lined buds.

"I've done every method. Main lining is very strain dependent." True, many factors to consider. Everyone has different needs and situations. I like the ability to move plants around as I have separate veg and perpetual bloom areas.

"Just super cropping the main stalk a few times." That's the way I do it most. Most of my lamps can penetrate deeper than the Hans though.

I got to agree that main lining will extended the grow longer than I would like. Also Hyroot is right that leaving the plant untouched produces the most yield ,unfortunately we don't always have that luxury dealing with indoor light sources

it does produce beautiful looking girls though

I have one cotton candy supercropped 1 cotton candy christmas tree'd which has 2 leaves slightly affected by light intensity, I also have a sour diesel that all tied up and staked in anticipation of the big bloom, I have really been impressed by the Han's panels thus far. I am also supplementing with bloom t5's, and have 2 plants that are currently in the process of being mainlined both are mystery seeds from a seedism mixpack. I was lst'ing and kinda mainling one, while only truely mainling the other seedling. well I pressed to hard 2 days ago and split a knuckle I had formed which has probabily set me back a few weeks. All this mainling and lst is kinda new to me, supercropping on the other hand seems to be working quite well for the cotton candy I currently have in bloom. I dunno guess I'm just rambling cause people like to read...lol
