Yeah hawkes bay get pretty hot, it gets colder than tauranga at night though. NZ can produce some good shit outdoors.

heres a little more porn to get you by until yours all start flowering. this plant is a freak. it leans heavily to the OG father so its not the best yielder but the nugs are tight and frosty and the smell is simply candy and rocket fuel. im dying to smoke this stuff

your going to love those blue dreams man. if you go back to page 16 you can see a shot of my dream lotus which is blue dream by snow lotus. the snow lotus male bodhi used is a special male because he isnt dominant so he really lets the mother plant shine through so its a pretty good representation of blue dream.

How do plants go out in the australian heatwaves? Will the stress of this heat - day in and day out cause the taskenti or any other type of cannabis plant which was from a feminized plant - cause it to hermie? That would suck?

Has anyone grown out the humbolt blue dreams? If so I'd appreciate hearing your experiences with it.

Hey guys! Everyone's plants are looking stella CK those malawi have grown heaps they look bushy as. Good stuff. Hows the weather been up there? I know that theirs a storm with high winds headed from the north or something?

Went and checked mine out today and its looking good. Its getting bushier and the growth is solid but yea the weather hasn't been the best this summer I think. Still had good temps last week though.
Had a little bit of aphid attack so I neemed it awhile ago and neemed it again today and its looking alot better. Id say if I hadn't have topped this plant it would be about 6 or 7 foot now lol Much better topped though.

I noticed a couple of the leaves towards the bottom were looking yellowy and yuck so I just pulled them of. Anyone know why it might be like this? Is it a deficiency or burn or anything? Im giving it blood and bone fertilizer once a week. NPK 8.3.6.
Also a little rusty looking bit on one of the leaves dont think i should be worried though? Ill chuck some pictures up so you guys can see Other than that the plants looking great! I reckon it will flower its male or female flowers soon maybe by the end of this month or the start of next month it will be doing its thing lol

the whole heat thing is a load of BS in my opinion. plants grow out here in the middle of summer without missing a beat even in direct sun. i would go as far as to say they love it.
similarly i have no A/C in my grow room and in the middle of summer it can get over 40c in there and my plants are fine. most people run there lights too close to there plants and then they think its the heat in there grow room but its actually the excess light or severe radiant heat from there lights not the actual grow temp.

as for the humbolt blue dream a friend on another forum grew it and it was an awesome plant.

cooper, Nice plants mate - go the bay lol. Looks like they're thriving and are looking healthy, you know you're plant's healthy when the leaves a pointing upwards towards the sun like that.
I dont have aphids but I have these freakin assholes
hmm might just fly spray the fuckers, didn't damage my plants last year when I gave them a light spray underneath the plant.

Aussie, that plant is looking killer bro, it looks you have early browning hairs like me. It didn't affect my Blue ogs though, that plant looks so similar to the blue og I ran a couple months ago. Does it have an earthly lemony fuel aroma to it?(best I could do) didn't find any blue moonshine in it though. yielded 0.81 grams per watt - not bad for 2ft plants.

Buckets - I'd say the top of australia would have difficulty growing cannabis, even sativas would struggle up there. anywhere else apart from those killer hot places in aus you should be fine but you're best bet is 100% sativas. The taskenti broad leaf phenos will feel the heat more and might slow down but it should be OK, what's your latitude?. Maybe look into old timers haze from ace seeds.

hey crazy kiwi thanks and yeah aphids turn into those little things as they grow they look little jets there nasty little buggers they suck on the plants and steal nutrients and leave this sticky slim behind wich gos black and stops the plant from absorbing light causing above areas to yellow and and slowly kills areas of the plant. iv tried sprays etc but dont seem to work long turn. if theres only a couple i dont think its much to worry about tho but im seeing heaps just resorted to squashing them..

hey buckets my ones r from humboldt i couldnt tell u the end result yet but they seem to be the best if done so far theyre loving the climate and don't need alot of attetion atal.. just hopeng there good with mold resistance

Yeah do they turn into those things with the fluff coming out of their back? saw one on my blooding Malawi clone indoors. I swear Tauranga's infested with them. That odourless fly spray seems to kill insects good without harming the plant - I've recently had spidermites and it seems to be getting rid of them. The Malawis have less since the neem oil application but the panamas still have a few.

I don't think the BD has good mold resistance. I've seen a grow where a guy was struggling with his with high humidity and never finished off. Should be OK in tga though. Any pre flowers yet? It's funny how all of our plants are around the same height lol.

yeah the little things with fluff on them turn into the jetts horrible little things just sit there sucking on the plants. yeah fingers crossed no mould often get quite abit of rain late march early april wich can be a pain. na only pre flowers on the frisian at the moment and big bud been in full flower for 1month ish. have u got any? lol yeah theyre all looking prity good arent they nice and big

thanks cooper and aussie for your replies. its been getting pretty hot outside lately so i'm worried about how feminized plants will do. i am not at the top of aussie. i am at the bottom of it but it is till 40 degrees regularly down here. i still like my idea of a tree bag for growing weed made out of geo pot fabric.

Yeah I might fly spray around the plants and not on them, I'll keep on top of a weekly neem spray from now on. Yeah tauranga can get a bit of rain in april, that's why I'm growing pure sativas. I'm worried about the Taskenti though because it's an indica that finishes in april. None of my plants are in flower yet, I expect another 3 weeks or a month of veg left. I think they will be 8ft before flowering.

You might have to grow pure sativas Buckets, or Hashplant indicas like Tashkent and Pakistan. The taskenti coomes from a place that gets hot daytime highs like australia but night time lows like the south island. Most Landrace indicas refuse to die lol.

well another blow damn it, high winds all week and I was horrified to find my biggest baby (just over 6 ft) bent in half on the ground, stalks all split but thankfully it will live, made a bit of a makeshift splint and propped it up and tied to nearby tree, might tie it to a waratah on the weekend. will try get some pics for you guys too, end up going on spur of the moment visits lol so been a bit unprepared.

I have those furry little white jumpy things on my plants too. I dont think its too much of a problem wont bother with neem. I have a nice grasshoper on there luckily which I think keeps it under enough control
