Need all kind of answers for my first grow!

Greetings everybody, let me introduce myself. I am Joey C. I was a smoker in my younger years and am now looking to dive back in to some green. I am planning on growing to supply myself and about a dozen close companions. I would like to get about one pound eventually.. I am completely new to any kind of cultivation. Everything I know I have gathered in the last week. With that said, Im planning on a sea of green set up. I have four 2'.5"' x 2' grow boxes. The boxes will be perceptually harvested every two weeks All are set with 135w Apollo Horticulture LED's, an intake fan, and an outtake fan coupled with a DIY carbon filter. My grow medium is Fox Farm Ocean Forest. I will be using the Nirvana Northern Light strain. I have so much going through my head and so many question I can not retain them all at once, So i will post a few now and just fire them off as they come to me. I know with the help of all you supporting and experienced member my grow will turn out bountiful!

Has anyone had luck with 4 inch pots? My worry is they will not support enough room for root growth. If i do not use these i will stick with 6 inch.

Is Mylar breathable? Will the fans blow through the material or does a hole need to be cut?(and if so how do you prevent light leaks?)

Can i put my clones directly into the 4 or 6 inch pots ill be using the entire grow?

Can clones be taken from plants in flower or must they be in the veg stage when taken?(considering stealing clones when i trim lower part of plant instead of keeping mothers, since it will be perpetual harvest)

If it is essential to keep mother(s), how many short mothers would be needed for all the clones I would need every two weeks?

I heard sea of green in soil will require one week rooting and at least one week veg. Anyone contest to this? Anyone go 12-12 straight from root for soil grow?

Like i said there will be more questions to come. I thank everyone ahead of time for all of the questions you might take the time to answer!!

I use 3-5 gallon pots depending on how large I feel like growing. Clones can be taken in flower but will have to be re-vegged and this is rather straining on the plant. Better to take clones in veg stage. I cut clones and they go directly into rock wool cubes, or into my cloner.

I personally don't keep mothers, but that's just me. I just cut clones, wait for them to take root and send the "mothers" into the flowering room.

You asked a bunch of questions and I just picked the easiest one to answer!

Mylar is definitely not breathable or porous in any way. It is a slinky film like a cross between aluminum foil and wrapping paper.

Those silver metallic balloons you see at fairs and stores and wherever are made of Mylar.

Here's another answer for you : yes you can plant your clones directly into the pots (if they are rooted) you are going to use, but I root them first in jiffy plugs and put them in a humidity dome then onto a larger pot ....And yes you can take cuttings in flowering but it takes a lot more time to root and start vegging again .... So growers tend not to do that .... Think I answered two there lol .....

P.s you probably could put the clones in the pots and root them but it's not how I do it and I think you might have a lot more failures ..
