Am I in the clear with my cure??? Please help me out :)!

Hi guys, heres a photo of where the colas have been hanging for 3,5-4 days in a 30-45% environment. Ive read so many guides about how to cure dry, and Ive gotten completely paranoid. I fear to get or might have bud rot. Ill show some photos of my setup and eventually the buds from one of the jars, which are currently being burped.
I hope you can tell me whether Im ok. Im completely freaking out, fearing to get bud rot and at the same time to overburp my jars and end up with some boring dried out weed. Any comment will be warmly appreciated!

a few weeks? that much? I bought a microscope and it was pretty milky and even a little amberish. But its my first try, so you might be right. Im more worried about the bud rot than having cut too early. the plant is supposedly a hard hitter even when cut early. its barneys LSD. Flower time is from 65-75 days and I cut it down after 68 days. Im not much of a connoisseur, so Ill probably let someone else weigh in.

Cut those buds open to see if they are dry its that simple. If you can break it up and smoke it without problem its done drying.

65 days starts after the first bud clusters form, which is usually about 10 to 14 days after you start 12/12. Also, most of the breeders seem to exagerate their flower times as quick flower times sell the best. Don't feel bad, 99% of us cut too early the first time and still many vets cut too early if you ask me.

IMO - the trichomes are just one of many factors that tell you when it is done. Read the first post in this thread for some great tips -

I usually hang dry mine for 3 to 5 days, and then paper bag them for a day or so. Then they are ready for mason jars.

it really didnt take long for the buds to form, the plant had already showed gender due to its long veg time, but I still appreciate your input. Just hope it will still be potent :) The first try will tell. And Im not really sorry if it happens to be the case, this is out of pure joy and I take more joy in growing than in smoking :)

The stems outside the bud should snap and bud should be dry but the inside stem should be flexible with some moisture in it still, then start the cure that usually works best for me

Jsticky, I figure thats more the less when I started jarring them up. I take them out for 5 minutes once or twice a day these few first days to prevent any moisture build-up. Im just really paranoid. It would be such a letdown to see it all gone now. And thanks Barnbuster, hopefully Ill be better to check for the maturity next time. Bubba Kush is still in the closet, only partially cut, that is not in any of the photos though. It still seemed too green.

Last question: Im about to be out of town for three days, what should I do with the cure? Should I leave the jars opened or sealed, what do I do? I dont want to ruin my stuff, nor do I want to travel 500km with 5 jars of marihuana in my bag. PLease tell me what the best way to go about it would be :) Thanks!!!

imo when your buds are at the point of moisture to receive mold, you should have no problem identifying. Buds are considerably wet when they are in an environment with the RH high enough to produce mold, much wetter than Id want my buds to be, and how anyone could store these sopping wet buds in a jar for any amount of time without burping is beyond me. Needless to say, if your buds are wet enough to mold u should quickly be able to tell

sealed just make sure theyre dry enough

I would put plastic over your jars and poke a few holes in the plastc lids with a safety pin..just in case !!
