Am I doing this right?

Hello all. I am new to this forum as I am also new to growing marijuana. I have a few questions. Your help is appreciated.

I purchased 10 lemon ice seeds and I germinated all 10 in a glass of water for 2 days. 8 of 10 sprouted, so I planted the 8.

For now I am using an organic soil potting mix called vigoro with added perlite. I have 4 3500k 1600 lumens cfl's. I am waiting for more suitable cfl's and fox farm soil in the mail.

Questions:

1) 3 of the 8 seeds have finally come out of the soil after 3 days of 18/6 light cycle. They look discolored. They are brown and curled a bit to the side. Is this normal?

2) I am keeping the lights 5 inches away from the soil, good?

3) How long should I wait till I transplant to its permanent pot?

#1 No that is not normal. Means they are dying or over fert. Pics?

#2 CFL's should be closer. Around 2-3"

#3 7 days after they sprout

What could be the cause? How do I save them?

I have not used any fertilizer as of now. I have only watered once when I first planted. The soil is still damp a bit. So I dont think I am under watering.

How do you upload pics on here?

#1) No. Brown is never a good color in a seedling.

#2) 5" is fine. 2 or 3 would be better if you got a little bit of air circulation.

#3) Concentrate on getting your plant(s) to the point of needing to be transplanted.


And take a picture of the plants.
