Not that it's any of your business, but I have never paid full price for a light from Jeff (trust me, he is making money at $400 a lamp.) He has always been very generous with his discount codes, and it has ensured a patient and longtime customer here.
I understand it might be different if I needed the lights immediately, but I always managed to plan ahead and even have a backup lamp thanks to Jeff being so damn cool with his discounts.

Someone sent me a link to this thread in my email. Figured I clear a few things up.
Yes, there is some profit on a $400 sale, though it is very small. Very small.
Whether there is 1 unit sold at full price, or 9 units sold at $400, money is made. Selling 9 units at $400 doesn't take away from the single sales one bit, it is silly to think otherwise.
As far as emails not getting answered... Besides the normal reasons which I'll get to in a moment, the main recent issue has nothing to do with "not wanting to sell lights at a discount".
A51 gets tons of Chinese spam. Chinese LED factories, Chinese trade companies selling LED grow lights, etc.... They bombard the hell out of my email. So much that they are maxing out my server's RAM. As a result, some emails did not make it in, some did not make it out. It only lasted maybe 9 days during its worst, but it was a shitty 9 days.
Just to give you an idea of what I'm getting, here's a screenshot of just a 2 minute window of what I dealt with:
When A51 first moved to those servers about a year ago, only 25% of the total capacity was ever used. Since then, because of increased traffic, and increased spam, changes had to be made, including trying new anti-spam software, which at first was a little sensitive, a lot of non-spam got trashed. The servers are being maxed out on a daily basis.
I've come up with a way to redirect China based emails to an outside email account with auto-delete, it's working well so far for the past 4 days.
Anyways, we're moving to a private server with more RAM, everything will be fine.
As far as other reasons you'll not get responded to, here are some main reasons: 1) Do not openly talk to A51 about weed in emails, it is still illegal in most places, especially A51's location. Your email will get auto-deleted. 2) Don't be sketchy. Emailing A51 and asking for free stuff, or "90 day loaners" to do some sawed off side by side and with no cred will get you ignored. 3) DO NOT CC A51 in your nonsense email blasts, you will get auto-deleted.
Lastly, check your spam folders for A51's responses, they end up there from time to time. CocaCola, I specifically remember answering your email, within 2 hours of getting it, this was before our ordeal with Chinese spam, at levels that messed with our day to day operations.
Karma, who do you got on the Rumble? If Bryan or Reigns wins, I'm gonna be ecstatic. My prediction is Batista though. So sad....
If Bryan or Reigns wins, I'll give away 2 free lights. We got 1 week to decide who gets them, IF Bryan or Reigns wins.
If Cena wins again, someone owes me 2 lights.

Daniel Bryan deserves to win the Rumble, but like Clint Eastwood said in the film Unforgiven, "Deserves got nothing to do with it".
Batista is being brought back just to headline Mania this year against Orton, so sadly, he's winning the Rumble.
So as much as I'd love 2 free lights, Bryan or Reigns, are not winning the Royal Rumble.
If there is any silver lining, at least it doesn't look like Cena is going to win it, either.
What if Punk wins, will you give away just one light?
Because if that's the case, even though I know Batista is winning, I'll take "the best in the world" for a chance at a free light.
Hell, the way I see it, CM's the only one at this point who the WWE could possibly replace Batisa with, considering Bryan's current concussion.

I'd like to see Big E win, that kid is on fire, I get fired up every time his music starts... I don't even like rap, it's the worst thing my ears ever have heard... But Big E and Mark Henry has some of the best WWE themes....

Well, the way I figure it, Punk has about a 5% chance of winning the Rumble this year (Batista 80%, Bryan 10%, with Punk and Cena at 5% each).
So I guess that means I have about a 5% chance of winning that Area 51 LED, but a 5% chance, is better than no chance at all.
It's clobbering time!
I do love that all of the other names you mentioned have absolutely 0% chance of winning the Rumble this year.
Big E. and Ambrose each have a shot of winning it someday, but Rollins, Ziggler, Henry, not in this lifetime.
Sadly, Dolph's push is permanently done, IMO, and he will be relegated to Kofi duties from now on.
Those duties include making everybody else look good, losing the majority of your matches, and being occasionally rewarded with a directionless IC title run.

Punk is going into the Rumble at #1, which I think actually helps my chances of winning that light, sir
I read the most fantastic rumor tonight, given the current storylines, we could be looking at a Punk/Lesnar Wrestlemania main event for the title.
Lesnar has already said that he's the next in line to face the champ, whoever that is, after Cena/Orton happens.
Let's say Lesnar wins the belt off of Orton, now let's say Punk wins the Rumble, we have ourselves a SummerSlam rematch folks!
This makes a lot of sense, and would be a huge draw, IMO.

Just to report back I got my 160 today! Ordered it last Friday, shipped out that same day and here today (Tuesday).....so that is pretty quick and I am very happy so far. Brighter than I had expected, runs quite and my temps are running approx 76 which is about 2 degrees warmer than the ambient temps. So its on the money as advertised, next step the grow! Got some beans popping as we speak....let the fun begin.

Last i checked the site, they said xgs back by Jan 27 so 5 days and you're golden. Me, on the other hand, i'm stuck deciding whether to spend an extra 30 dollars on the xgs or just get the sgs...i've been on a51 about to pull the trigger twice since last night now and i'm itching to make the purchase again today...someone just tell me what to do!!! (soil organic grow in 2x4 tent, i usually do no more than 3 girls in there to keep them all very happy, and it's been parT5 for two years now--tired of buying replacement bulbs, just ask PetFlora what a pain in the ass (particularly in the wallet area) buying high-end t5 bulbs becomes.)

and don't underplay the mercury vapors (similar issue with EDFLs), whether they break in your home, trash, or dump. Best is to dispose of at HazMat facility, which is non - existent. I tape my dead tubes with clear box tape, but that's just a band-aid

I just put my new XGS 190 over my seeds today. The build quality on this light is really impressive. The fit and finish is very nice and the light looks very durable. I haven't grown anything with it yet but I have high hopes for this light just based on the design and quality. If this light does OK in my tiny early veg closet, I'm going to order another one and try my first all LED grow in 6 weeks.
