Can anyone help I have supercropped my plant a few days ago and have noticed a split

I have supercropped my 25 day old white widow plant 3 days ago and today I have noticed the stem has got splits in it rather than forming a ball/knuckle.

Will it be okay and will the top survive.

Someone please give me some advice on what to do?

Next time, use something round(i use a sharpie)and squeeze the branch in between the sharpie and thumb, in the direction you want the branch to lay. It minimizes breaks and splits when supercropping.

After reading the entire thread, this was posted by someone on there in regards to your op about it increasing resin production by 25%



"well let me just spoof this myth for everyone:)

a while back(when not much was known about growing canabis), it was said that by piercing the stem, in a way that the plant would not be able to heal the wound, the thc resin would constantly flow at a faster rate because the plant is trying to heal its self with sap.

the problem with this theory is that as we all know thc is not grown in the stem, but is produced on the bud where the crystals are. therefore there is no way this theory is possibly true.

what will most likely happen is the plant will become infected with some sort of disease or pathogenic virus, and in result will lower yield and the plant will struggle.


the correct way to do what the OP is tryuing to accomplish is done by lightly sqweezing the stem so that the inner core of the stem cracks but the outer layer of the stem does not break skin. what this does is create super highways for nutes to flow thru. its like when you lift wieghts, your muscle breaks down and tears its self and rebuild bigger stronger muscles."



Now, I would like to say that it seems like the OP over on grasscity was not looking to increase his resin production but use the nail as a alternative method to supercropping to create 2 main "veins" for nutrient uptake and not resin production.

I don't want to offend or piss off someone so just wanted to rebutt on this debate. Furthermore, I am also not putting forth a strong rebuttle in the fact that I am only using 1 qoute from the same thread and do not have any facts to back up this part of the qoute I used " what will most likly happen is the plant will become infected with some sort of disease or pathogenic virus, and in result will lower yield and the plant will struggle."

Naw dawg, he should put a nail in it. It causes all the THC to be pulled from the soil faster. THC comes from the roots.

Nah, you don't need to do any of that! Just hang ur plants upside down after you chop them down. All that thc juice INSIDE the plant flow into the buds. ;)Remember that one? Good shit man!

If you boil the roots, you can actually see the THC flow up the stem. First, the trunk turns red, and it quickly flows up the plants, until it hits the buds, and SWELLS UP MASSIVELY. Huge amounts of THC. At least 25%.

I am alittle confused about how you would turn the plant upside down after you chop the branches off and the THC still reaches the buds??? Or am I misunderstanding you when you say chop it down and you just hang the whole plant upside down?

Oh yeah. You can also put your favorite colorant into the boil . Thats how i used to get really, really purple buds.

Make sure the roots stay attached while drying or you'll lose all that THC!

what should i do leave it and will it heal itself or should i tie a bit of hemp string around the split however when inspecting the stem where the split is it is rarther strong and hardy for now.

Watch out for disinformation. If someone else fails, some people might not care:neutral: , but there is good info from subcool and farmerjohn420 on youtube, look for the guys with healthy plants. Yours looks OK
