Dude, you can't read a graph? Things like this ebb and flow. The graph shows an ebb. Bug the trend is flow. Now, if this ebb keeps on, the trend is reversed, but we are moving up, in general.
The down tick that you are centering your point around is insufficient to offset the massive up tick that has preceded it.

To get back on track, Putin is a BADASS. Our leader is a wimp comparatively. Putin has spent his entire adult life in politics and has many times more experience than our dear well spoken leader.

The water is going to rise at an astonishing rate of fractions of an inch per year, if I'm wrong, at the most a couple inches per year at the max, right? I've not heard or don't remember hearing how fast the oceans will rise, but that would be a light speed type rate of rise.
Plenty of time to build seawalls like are in place in the Netherlands. Pretty amazing structures. Some places might not be able to survive with a wall, so they will have to move inland.
It's not that I don't care, I wish it wont happen. But from everything I remember about "An Inconvenient Truth" we're well past the deadline to avoid these catastrophes. I remember hearing target years that "we have to change" by being something like 2010 and stuff way back when. Are we moving the goal posts now, or are the figures used 10 years ago for the "point of no return" still being used. We're at it now, or past it, right?
So if the sky really is falling, all this stuff is going to happen. People will have to move inland, or we will have to build walls. It is not me being callous, it is the truth from the people you say speak it.
If the planet is warming, does this not mean that we can expect to gradually have more productive agriculture creeping northward? Will the growing season in Canada and Siberia not lengthen if the climate gets warmer? Will a longer growing season in two of the worlds largest stretches of land not be of benefit to the planet's population?
I don't see why you think a warmer climate does not equate to better farming in the northern latitudes.

Fuck 'em? I really don't give 2 shit, past my 2 surviving kids. They'll either be fine, make it off this rock, or die trying to make a better life - I'd applaud them, but I'll be dead. In the long run, it doesn't matter. We're either a species that CAN achieve interstellar flight, or we're fucked on this tired old rock, and whining about the inevitable won't change fuck all.
