Light lock

For those planning multi room setups.

I have three rooms, two 8kw bloom and one 4kw veg. Bloom rooms alternate as I only have a 150 amp main.

Problem, how to get from room to room without light getting in dark room.

I used "light locks" made by installing a pocket door in the wall and a second swinging door to enclose a small 3 x 3 foot area. Acts like an air lock for light. Made them 3 x 3 ish to allow for moving a large plant. Use 36" doors to maximize ability to move supplies.

Real interesting dude. I built my first room not too long ago from the ground up and was thinking of a way to do something like this. Ended up doing something similar but never got around to putting up the 'inner' door. Still would like to but I SUCK at hanging doors :(....just ended up using some door sleeves and being extra careful lol

So what exactly are you doing stumbling around in your bud room in the dark, that can be very very dangerous to plant and animal?(you) .....lol

however if you must old growers use a green light bulb, as its rumored that plants can't see/feel it .....lol

I am an old grower lol. I have a green led headlamp. My basement is divided into three rooms. Due to configuration of basement I have to go thru both flowering rooms to enter my veg room. The flower rooms run offset 12/12 so one is always off. Needless to say I needed a way to move man and materials around down there.

Clever put a small sheet of panda film and a self adhesive zipper would do the same thing...
And it would not last or perform as easily. I can roll plants from room to room, pausing in the lock, its tight getting a tree thru a 36" door, wouldn't want plastic in the way. I built thisgrow to be classy and quality. I hate bandaid / budget solutions. Just don't have time to be fixing things.
