well at least the few who have started will at least set some type of standard for you try to reach, I hope..

Lol.......you think any of us in the "tundra" part of the USA are gonna start early? This is the coldest I've ever fucking experienced in Philly! No joke

What kinda soma seeds do you have I might be interested in tradeing depending on the strain

Soma A+ Rockbud. I only have 3 seeds. I have more cheese og seeds too. Everyone I did of rockbud came out female. Are you going to the L.A. Cup?

We have been having a very warm winter. 75-85 in the day. 50-70 at night.

I've been seeing tons of snow all over the news, saw them ploughing tons of snow out of MetLife Stadium this morning...wonder what it's going to look like during the super bowl (fuck seattle...)

It was 70 and sunny here today. But I'm going to start toward the end of Feb too. Don't have a separate veg & flower spaces and picking up some clones this weekend...need some veg time for them before starting 12/12.

Jimjim, I'm going to vote to keep one after sex. But keeping 5 til harvest and then choosing one is not a bad idea. Will keep more people in the competition instead of folks dropping out, that's for sure.

You think its cold in philly try out the upper peninsula in the state that looks like mittens, with all this lake effect snow, I haven't seen it get this bad in at least 20 years. I think I'll be germin here in about 2-3 weeks maybe it will be on the (not so cold side) or at least out of the negatives.

Hyroot: I wish I knew we could safely mail them to each other I really wanna try that somango from Soma, but I'd trade you one of my Reserve Privada skywalker Og kush for one Rockbud, or maybe my underdawg kush, I also have applejack, killawatt, and hippie killer by Seedism. Unfortunately I'm not attending anything anywhere... been kinda snowed in these last couple weeks

I like the thought of starting 5 seed to cultivate till the end and then picking the best one to enter out of the 5 I've documented. My thought is I have to dedicate a light source for this plant from start to finish, and my light source covers a 2x2 area. So why would I want to only use like a 1/4 of that on 1 solo cup cause then I can't fit a 7 gal next to it...but now I can run 4 solo cups and maybe actually get some yield rather than delaying my perpetual grow schedule.

figure something out. Maybe send with nutrients or cd's or something. Not like its overseas. I sent some to my x and a homie in Co and neither of them received it. I did flat rate shipping. Maybe overnight fed ex or ups or something.

Jim NOT all parts of this nation are so forgiving/friendly. We get a 1 YEAR MANDATORY PRISON SENTENCE(PA) for more than 9 plants here , this # includes males, fucking seeds!, clones, seedlings,etc. And were surrounded by medical states too, hoping for a change soon.

Couple of my friends up at PSU went down this route due to NARC's and pissed off girlfriends(don't tell/show your grow!!!!), it sucks and it's a major felony that ruins your life(job applications) for 9 yrs till expunged.

i have a friend who got caught bringin p's into philly. He sought top notch lega council and got off on search and siezure rights. cost him close to $50,000 including what got taken

We should stick to the rules that where in place since the first comp. Stick with one entrant after sex shows, it always was a hard comp and we shouldn't make it"easy"IMO.........but its up to Jim

I feel your pain Sarge. I was telling this grower I know up here about the cup comp and he's like 'fuk dude just cut the bottom of the cup out' and we'll walk all over that. And this is a guy who is already bought a bunch of lights and he wants a free one cuz he's a master grower and gonna show everyone else what they don't know. I don't get it. Nice enough guy but he's one of those folks who takes themselves way too seriously. Run by the rules or take your ball and bat go home. I could NOT be a moderator.

I'll put something up, I got a few seeds about to pop so I will single one out (I'll probably do a couple just in case cause I'm working from regular seeds not fem) and I'll put in a separate room. Strain will be my own. Double white cheese x dwc or wild Thai, the got pollinated by both.

Damn john that was a nice rant, I like it. I'm new to this but I came to this competition for the challenge. I think some just want to win so the want the rules to change to make it easier and to get them back into their comfort zone.
