If you start in a appropriate sized containers overwatering won't exist. I start in solo cups.. I use coco now but even with soil I watered until I came through the bottom holes put my already germinated seed in the cup and when it's above ground give it light. Don't water again until it's dry... Now with coco I have to water every 2-3 days never had a plant die on me.

First: That may be what you do, but once you learn to grow, I'm sure it will change...Second: Do a little more research, because that tap is sending feeder roots off it the whole time it's descending...AND Third: No my comment was not necessary, but neither was your advice, you need to learn something before you can actually help...AND Just for Shits and Giggles::: At least you were polite about it, instead of being an ass to someone who is just having fun with the noobs...if you or they come up with a serious problem and I see it, I will be the first to try and help for real without the sarcasm
