Hey, why don't you take that attitude door to door, demand that people pay for your birth control, I dare you.
You'll be spitting teeth.
why don't you beenthere?..why do i have to pay for your axiron, viagra and prostate meds?..that's quite a lineup of EXPENSIVE medicine vs. the $5 pack of estrogen that the side effect is: birth control

You shouldn't have to. That's the rub. Wtf do you need Viagra for? Wtf do I need birth control pills for? wtf does a person with no kids under 26 need pediatric dental insurance for?

I used to have a plan that didn't include birth control for me but did for my wife. Now we both have it.

i kinda liken this to a car..you have to have certain feature on ALL CARS..ie; seatbelts..you can't buy a car without..government regulates that each policy must contain the 10-points of coverage whether your family uses 1 feature or all 10 features..it's not build-a-burger..americans are used to many, many choices often times too many..christ, have you seen a cheesecake factory menu?..even mcdonalds now has too many sandwiches and the kids can't keep track of what goes on what..it's too much.

I am an educated man with a career that would be destroyed if I resorted to violence. I rely upon my intellect to make a living, and I control my temper because I am mature. So no, I do not make a habit of fighting others because that is childish. I prefer to destroy them with my wit like a man proper. Furthermore, I don't like the smell of trailer parks.
I'll go. I cleaned out trailers in FL as a college punk. It is a drill. 1 2 3....fire in the hole. Flea Bomb, to soften it up first. :)

what makes him think it's OUR libido?:wall:

I'm sorry. What is the time mark that has everyone so bent? And Sky, you went past me with the OUR remark.

It seemed like a haughty and horribly miscrafted concept. And I was offended by the Uncle Sugar remark, and the suggestion that women should control their libido.

I don't think women should control their own libido around me. :) All else = don't care.

Did I miss your point?

What a strange thread, why would any sexually active heterosexual man object to women having easier access to birth control ..

So now we pay more but it's ok cuz Uncle Sam says so.

You don't need Viagra and shouldn't have to pay for it. I don't need birth control pills. Those should be options. Like automatic or manual transmission. Cd or MP3 player or both. Viagra nor birth control is anything close to a seat belt. Diabetes, yes. Cancer, yes. Also, driving a car is a choice. Having health insurance is not.

Please stop with the car analogies. While both are insurance(though one could argue health insurance is no longer insurance), one is completely voluntary(you aren't forced to own a car). The other is by force.

I don't have a problem with women having easier access to birth control through their insurance. I'm a guy. I don't need birth control pills and should not have to pay for it on my policy. Just like I shouldn't have to pay for my wife to be covered for Viagra.

It's a good investment that may bring fruitful returns or at least help prevent unwanted outcomes
i take your point about Viagra it's almost a fair comparison, the unwanted pregnancy or termination that may result which could of been stopped with a pill kind of changes the situation
men do not have this problem but should they share some of the responsibility ?
sometimes i think even though it may seem unfair or that women are getting favorable treatment the consequences that could result are worse for the tax payer

should the man have any responsibility ? or is it only a woman's responsibility weather she gets pregnant or not
perhaps they should give free pills to men too lol

In my case we have no need at all for birth control. I'm still paying for it though.

They should both be responsible, IMO, but I can see the arguement that if a woman Is in charge of her body in regards to abortion , shouldn't she also be the sole person responsible for determining when she gets pregnant?

I guess I have just one question: where is the guy paying a co-pay for rubbers? Those aren't covered... But again, I'm all for bc being on a woman's insurance , as it should be, just not on a man's.

+reppppppppppp

and these are the people who WANT to be in charge:lol:

It's funny that you use the term, "in charge". It implies that people in the USA are not in charge of themselves as free individuals and somehow the wonderful politicians are not erm "servants".

Surely you don't believe others have power over you and that there should be people "in charge" of you?

You, nor anybody else should have to pay for anything others want or use if you don't want or use them yourself. It's called "freedom", maybe you've heard of this concept?
