Pheno hunting is an awesome game but I haven't saved any pollen from males because I don't have enough space to play around with anything that I don't know is dank so all of my breeding will be done with fems for the foreseeable future.
I haven't finished anything but based on my results using it to help with bonsai vegging I'm confident that I will be able to do it. This is an experiment as I like messing with how I grow but I'm pretty confident she'll make it to harvest without issue. I'll keep everyone posted as I like the idea of using small hempies to control plant size in a small ghetto setup without hurting plant performance by drying out the roots.
 
I recently put my plant in flowering about 2 days ago. Before switching light i repotted put in 3 gallon buckets been watering every other day with regular water until roots hit resevoir but leaves are kind drying up after putting them in flowering should i be feeding plant?
 
I've been lonely without a hempy to love and cherish, so I started some seeds on my return from my Xmass vacation in Mexico

While there in Puerto Vallarta, I obtained a 1/4 ounce of low grade pot to which I brought home 92 seeds. (I think this what people call bag-seeds?)

I started a half dozen, 2 in rock wool and 2 in peat plugs and 2 in soil cubes....one in soil did not sprout.

The wool and plugs sprouted first and went into 2L pop bottles (perlite/vermiculite/soil capped).... the soil core seedling was 4 days behind the others and was put into a 2.84 litre juice bottle.

U should be feeding with every water homie...specially this late in the game

Also what nutes are you using in hempy because I have used house of gardena and canna and I feed (meaning with nutes) every time. Are your plants droopy from transplant shock?
 
K, Im up to reading page 96. lol Don't know how or why I never read of the Hempy method. I have a few questions that might be a given but Im still unclear of. Can I put a 1" Rooted rockwool clone straight into the finish pot or do I need to solo cup it first ? Is Root Rot an issue in Hempys ? Im sure you could just add Bennies once a week or maybe less just incase ? The original Hempy post says to use full strength. It seems odd and I see most everyone is feeding as normal or 1/4 to half strength or by PPM's ? Thanks
 
You can start in your final container, either way you have to water often in the beginning till the roots hit the rez. Haven't seen any root rot in mine and I still have the occasional root bits and still no rot!! Imo strength of nutrients is adjusted to each person differently based on medium, environment, strain and the brand of nutrients. Peace!!

i really cant wait to get back into hempy, i built my fucking aerocloner just for hempies and then I ran outta medium, and money

When i get to it, it'll be my first quick-run sog , with single stalk plants

i really digg the technique shaggn, I wonder what the maximum yield could be on a 400w light and a high yielding strain, with a 3-day transplant and then straight to flower

i also read somewhere, if you shut off the lights 24 hours between veg and flower, the plant re-sets its inner clock and goes to flower in a shorter time. This round I'm reducing time 15 mins a day, i'm at 16 hours and one plant is at the onset of flowering already!!

did some LST, and plan to update my thread soon; the soil/coco hempies look good! I'm gonna remove 1-3 of them because they're crowding the spot a little.

I need help deciding what t5's to buy though. the two dual 2' t5's are gonna come down because I have another 4 footer for the right side

I just want to balance my spectrum for now, once i get those 2 fixtures out of there into my veg again, I'll get another single bulb fixture to setup a UVB rig, I've wanted to try that for a while
any UV bulb recommendations, are also appreciated

If you want a UVB bulb you want to get one of the Arcadias. A friend did a lot of research regarding UVB lights and they were the only ones he found that had a useful amount of UVB according a meter.

I would love to do that in my room, but i don't have a south facing window..
I will however be doing a window farm once the summer starts up, not quite sure whats gonna go in it, but it might end up being outdoors because of the window situation lol

So I just put a newly sprouted seedling of DNA Genetics Kosher Tangie in a 2gal hempy today. We'll see how I do with a Hempy from seed. I'll get a pic up soon.
