Here is the big boy for larger area 4' x 8' http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-7-Band-864w-LED-Grow-Light
now those are all 3 watt diodes so the prices are dropping fast on them.

Here is why go with 3 watt vs 5/10 watt diodes. unless you have a huge 10 ft ceiling i wouldn't go with a 5 watt setup.
http://www.theweedblog.com/led-grow-lights-3-watt-vs-5-watt-vs-10-watt/

You want lights that can grow give you the most yeild and best quality well those 7 band lights will do it and they are cheap. myself i would use 4 240 watt-er's to cover a 4 x8 area than 1 big one. for several reasons is canopy size you can adjust easier with 4 and most dont have a full scrog that size but a few do. also if 1 goes down for any reason you can rearrange and make the 3 work till your replacement gets in. im gonna get 1 of the 240 watt models after this harvest in 90 days or so, yeah my babies are still young 13 days old today that includes germination period. you will see i am using quad band led's with 3k leds also now i use cfl for first 10 days. and il use cfl on the sides when they get bigger sicne i dotn have 3 watt diodes but 1 watt diodes in my lights. if you are wondering why i have air line into each pot they are using air injection soil technology. Means i dont have to worry about bugs or over/underwatering since the soil is always wet i water/feed 3 times a day. use bloom 10-52-10 1/8th teaspoon in 1/2 gallon with 2 oz of coconut water. will add molasses in a few days just 1/2 teaspoon in 1/2 gall water. ill rotate that with bloom every 3rd day and a water change on 3rd day. no build up of nutes this way but is work. cant wait till i can dump the males out and have more room. that is awhile away.

HTG has awesome stuff but the LEDs are too expensive. You can get them cheap direct from china.

I use grow evolution and they work pretty well for me.

What about HANS...been looking into these and seem a good starting point for LED Grow...considering how much some panels are.

http://www.bonsaihero.com/ledgrow.html

LED Hans2.JPG Hans Grow 2x65w.JPG

1 x HANS 65w LED Grow panel, 180 € plus 20 € shipping

Settings:

Growth phase, great for seedlings and cuttings, 35 Watt total power consumtion.

Early flowering mode, perfect for mother plants and also for the first weeks of flowering, 50 Watt total power consumption.

Panel switched to full flowering mode, 65 Watt total power consumption.

I Think(and will keep looking into) that these are the ones I will go with, £400 for 2 x 65w LED Panels is a lot of $$$ for me...so I won't be just Buying 1st bit of kit that catches my eye...but I have read some Positive Posts and Info on the HANS.

Peace

UFO lights are good for flowering and there are a few on eBay for veg although with LED's you have to be prepared to spend quite a bit of money.

okay you want 3 watt diodes. you want to cover the needed light spectrum. the ones from china i see dont have the right range or jsut a few in the right range. a few hundred for a light that works and will grow dense medium to large cola's is what you want. the lower power led's will grow small to medium cola's. and you will have to use cfl to help so you dont save on electric. im using smaller led's right now and wish i would have got the smaller one listed above. i will get that after the first harvest is done. i have 60 watt led and 200 watt cfl right now i can use on 4 plants in bloom. just enough to get medium cola's.
love and peace all.

I use the Pro Grow 400 (2 Plants) & the Pro Grow 180 (1 Plant) from hydroponicshut.com. I've been very happy with them. I've never used anything else since I've only been growing for a year and started off with LED lights. I've included a picture of a Big Bud organic soil grow at 23 days, starting from the day I put the seed in the rapid rooter. I usually start the first week of vegetative growth at about the second week after the seed was placed in the rapid rooter.

Very nice i see your led has UV and IR i didnt see the nm range for the red/blue and didnt see it had any daylight led 6500-10000k its a good light using 250 watts but the price is over 2 times that of the ones i listed above again you bought yours 1 year ago and allot has changed with led in 1 year. the 240 watt model in post 1 is the better choice right now. its $265 us dollars about 1 dollar a watt. and you want all the ranges.

reread my post bro i said they don't make uv but they do make IR. 390nm is not uv

It is UV and IR, they look similar to the LED diodes but they don't emit any light visible to the human eye. At first I thought some of the LED diodes were not working but when I read the insert they explained that these are the UV & IR emitting diodes. They are definitely not the cheapest LED lights on the market but you tend to stick with what works. I started my first grows using ebb and flow hydroponics but my last grow I converted to organic soil, hydroponics was too much work. My organic soil grow is on pace with the hydroponics grow I've done in the past. I've created a custom soil blend that I believe will deliver the maximum amount of oxygen to the roots and continually feed the plants with very little additives except organic molasses during vegetative growth and bat guano during flowering. I fill a 5 gallon bucket with water that has an air stone that continually oxygenates the water, I use this to water all my plants. I'm going to use the Pro Grow 180 to grow a Jalapeno plant very soon, the seedling has just sprouted. :-) I've included another pic of a cotton candy plant about 3 weeks from harvest, this was grown with a Pro Grow 400 and ebb and flow, the plant in the foreground is a Dinachem.

Wow sweet plant love it. IR is invisible and so is most of uv we can see part of it cause it makes purplish color but. I love led and now with 7 bands and the right nm of lights wow. As for soil wow tough road. Im doing air injection soil based off of modularhydro. i have soil 2/3 and the bottom 1/3 is lava rock holding down a round air hose with small holes in it. so my water is heaver than air so air has to go up and it does. My soil is never dry i water 9 plants with 16 oz of water 2 or 3 times a day. here is a picture of my babies they are not sexed yet.

My "432" HTG makes a great.. door stop.

Edit: You can find a lot of HTG failures on the forums. Also, they have quite a draw on the wall.

What Bull Shit. An UNeducated consumer is their BEST customer. Are 7 bands better than 2-3-4-5-6... yes, BUT...

Plants benefit from more than PAR peaks

NW + WW rocks

Here are pics using 3500K + 5000K + 3000K added once buds set

okay so the reviews are bs about these. what is the better ones out there then? i need to know cause im gonna be buying one in a few months. i just am not gonna spend more than $400 for a light for a 2x4 area. Pet what are you using just cfl's led's. ive seen a 5 watt diode 250 watt panel for around $400 i will find the best one i can for that price i have 2-3 months.

either save more money or buy a cmh set up. You are not going find any quality led for that much area coverage less than $500 unless you buy multiple panels. Hans led , area 51 are the best bang for the buck and use high quality leds. btw Htg lights come from cidly a51 and hans will knock htg leds out of the water with half of the watts

i have 4 led lights the round ones already 2 are 12 watt quad spectrum(12- 1 watt diodes) 2 are 18 watt 3000k par 38's each have (8- 3 watt diodes using 75% power) i have 6 23 watt 2700k cfl for lower coverage and 5 23 watt 6500k. once i sex the plants i can focus the 4 led lights allot more. i also have 30 12 watt cfl's from 6500k/5000k/3000k/2700k i can make sure they get enough lumes and light to each part of the plants. after i get a panel up top either led or whatever i go with i will use the round leds for side lighting and really boost growth. that is only reason i started with the led's i have. i want total light coverage of my plants. I want as much of the light spectrum coverage as i can get.
Love and peace all
