Hello from Japan

Hello. I've been a member on this forum for a while but I've never posted. I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I live in Japan with my wife right now and we are making plans to return to America. We LOVE smoking pot and miss it very much. Marijuana has completely changed our life and relationship, especially my wife who comes from a very strict, workaholic culture. We can't wait to be back in America so we can enjoy this wonderful herb once again.

When we return to America it's going to be a fresh start for us so we are thinking about what we'd like to do. Since marijuana has been such blessing in our life, we have been discussing learning how to be medical and/or recreation marijuana growers. So I'm going to be posting a lot of questions about that, and I hope I can learn a lot. Nice to meet all of you and I look forward to communicating with you.

welcome to riu zatarra, finally, nice to meet you, lol...

are you saying that there's no cannabis in japan, or just that you've not been able to find any being an outsider? do you think that if you were japanese, you'd be able to find any, or is there just no bud to be found, by anyone?

Japan is very strict on cannabis even considering their historical use of cannabis which is quite abundant.

japan is more focused on working, they are essentially workaholics, to sleep ont he job there is a good thing meaning youre hardworking most japanese people pretty much eat, sleep and breathe their job

its very hard to find cannabis in japan and its extremely expensive. you would have trouble growing as the way their houses are built would be quite the challenge to grow especially int he winter, since japanese homes are generally NOT heated, instead they use a table with a blanket with a heater under it called Kotatsu
their homes are quite older style,
though anything is possible where there is a will there is a way but their anti marijuana laws are pretty strict caught with 1 joint for your first offense is generally 6 months prison time any other time after that is usually 5 years prison and hard larbour (most likely helping in the fukishima disaster ) any foreigners caught are deported instantly

Wow, and here in Colorado I work from home and 'work' from home. If you get caught with a joint, you might have to share. That's about it.

there are states in the us of as where if you get caught with weed, small amounts, you still go to jail. i've been arrested, twice even, for possession of under a gram of weed, one time the total amount was .04 grams, you read that right, .04 grams got me arrested..

Holy shit!!!! Japan sounds like Georgia, USA with the fucking ridiculous weed laws. I was taken to jail and wound up with 6 mos. probation over a 1/4 gr. of shake that one of my step sons friends left in my car. Hey Z, welcome to RIU and stay away from GA when you move back to the states. lol

different country :p
Totally. I actually took Japanese in high school and learned much about the Japanese culture as well. They certainly are work-a-holics. What stark contrasts. I was actually told that cannabis in North Korea of all places, is legal and encouraged? What a strange verse we live in!

I remember years ago I was parked at a bar and when I left my car I saw a cop roll up on me. I shut my car door quick because it smelled of pot. The cop approached and asked where my weed was at. I told him I didn't have any so the cop and his partner started shining their flashlights in my windows. One cop said look there's a seed! They made me open my car door and then grabbed what they saw. It was a little pebble (stone). I started cracking up, shut my car door, and told them I'd be in the bar. That was in Ca.
