Smart pots

Because of what they are made of they allow the roots to air-prune. That leads to a better root structure and happy roots equal happy plants. It also allows you to grow a bigger plant in a smaller pot.

They trim the roots as the plant grows. Plants think they are growing bigger. In plastic pots the roots just circle around and get bound up, slows growth. Since I have switched to smart pots, the rootball seems healthier, more offshoots.

In my 3 gallon smarts the rootball is completely full of tiny root structure.
Its a beautiful thing.
I think I will go to 5 gallon pots in the future.

You can grow with or without smart pots. Growers that are consistently producing great harvest are always looking for ways to improve their crops. Air pots in the right hands can help.

I use fabric 1 gal, 3 gal, and 5 gal sizes with Velcro seams. Seams make it easier to transplant. No complaints from me on the Geopots that I bought and used last year. They're documented in my grow below and here are some of the pics from 2013.

Prospo makes a good point about the velcro. It can be tough if you have the non velcro type to peel the bag away from the soil. I have been using regular pots (2 gallon) and transplanting into 5 gallon smartpots. Another thing I like about them is the fold up and can stored easily when not using them instead of having pots sitting around in the garage.

Here is the website on the Geopots. http://www.geopot.com/collections/geopots

I didn't think about it before, but Rwbrock does bring up a good point. Because they are fabric they do store easily when not used.

I have a stealth grow and being able to hide all signs is a benefit to me. And yeah, the Velcro is killer.

I also have them stitch in handles on the five gal size to make it easier to move around. Worth .60 extra!

I use shallow, clear over flow trays underneath that I get from Lowes or Home Depot. Keeps my floors clean, but still lets me water until I see run off.

Let me know if you have any other questions about Geopots. They shipped a couple of my orders very quickly with no issues.

No I don't get paid to recommend, just trying to help you guys out. Prosp!
