yes, usually your tap water will have a larger variety of trace minerals, not a "real supplement" of calcium... tap water is fine for full veg, but in my experience (unless just extremely high TDS tap, or lucky minerals in your tap...) you need concentrated supp's of Calcium in flower, among other rest.
It all goes back to read the plants, part of calcium's role is in new growth, when going deficient cannabis yellows from the center out (the new growth),
I believe in tomato's calcium def comes out as Budrot, Lettuce as Yellow "margins..."
