I looked for a few minutes, but couldn't locate a post I read a couple of months ago. Some guy said he had much the same needs in smoke as you, and got a personal recommendation from Soma for his Lavender. This led me to look into it somewhat, but Soma's beans are expensive. I found a Soma Lavender x Serious Bubblegum [so they say] from Dr Underground called Melon Gum for less than half the price, and have one ready to hit 12/12 any day along w/ a Somango. H i g h hopes for both.

Good luck.

just came out: grape ox from rare dankness.... grape ape x bubba kush x stone mountain.
Thanks, yes, I saw that the other day when checking their website. Looks promising but zero info on effects except "high THC" which tends to scare me off. Still no email reply from them.

More reading around and I've come up with a few other ideas:

A strong recommendation to look for older non hybridized strains. Seems a lot of strain development hybridization is all about increasing potency (also to create better growing/yielding plants), but the take home point is, I don't need more potent weed!!! if anything I need less potency and more mellowness, so older simpler genetics may be good! There are a lot of individual recs for Hindu Kush as anti anxiety with simpler older genetics. Also quite a few accounts that the strongest indicas tend to provoke anxious/paranoid reactions in some people. Afgani #1 comes up repeatedly. So this confuses me a bit, seems hindu kush is from the greater indica part of the world too, could be similar to Afghani, and the hashplant I have was bad experience for me, so not sure Hindu would work for me.

Blueberry and a number of purple strains repeatedly come up as anti anxiety: purple urkle, GDP, and the like, seems to stem from mendo purps heritage

And, on the lower potency end, a strain that repeatedly comes up as anti anxiety and mellower THC content is Big Bang Though it's not an older non hybridized strain. I actually a few seeds, so this one will be in the growing rotation this spring. But this year i feel the need to grow a few good choices since last year I was so successful growing a huge amount of a strain i don't really like!

So much conflicting info in general!

Gotcha, thx. OX=Bubba K x Stone Mt

“Most Potent” at the 2010 Best Bud of Boulder cannabis cup"

"Description: Bred and selected for a very potent, Indica-dominant effect, it appears that the mission was accomplished. This strain really packs a punch "

"Effects: Overwhelming at times"

Withe list of accompanying indica type superlatives, this scares me. Sounds similar to my hashplant kind of experience, Won't know til I try, but sounds too strong.

Seriously, I am a lightweight

Hmm, this seems right on. Perhaps cannabiogen PCK:

"
Effects: Very mellow. Absolutely no raciness or paranoia whatsoever. The first time I smoked this after a three week cure, I realized I was walking around with a huge grin on my face for about an hour. Relaxing, happy, and humour stimulating. Didn’t seem to increase my appetite all that much, so I can’t say it’s too medicinal for my purposes (Crohn’s disease), but that didn’t detract from the overall experience. This is a bud that is perfect to just relax and chill at the end of the day. Not a heavy or clumsy indica stone, and not a racey sativa, but the perfect balance between the two – even considering it’s pure indica.
Potency: Certainly the least potent in my arsenal, but not in a bad way. This isn’t a bud you would smoke if you wanted to get destroyed, but this is your ticket if you want a happy, cheerful, social smoke that isn’t going to incapacitate you.
Grower’s Notes: This was the only keeper plant out of a pack of 20 beans (from Beanho). It was an absolute whore to grow. Nothing but constant problems with deficiencies, slow growth, ph problems, etc. It was a miracle I got this one to the finish line. This is the most difficult and finicky plant I have ever grown, and I have conferred with other growers of this strain, that I’m not alone. This was the only plant to turn purple, all other phenos were very green, and not to my liking at all. Ended up cutting my losses and destroying all the other plants so I could start on something else.
With that being said, it seems that it’s an issue of poor breeding here. I have spoken with other growers who have grown this plant from Cannabiogen’s stock (the original breeder), and have had none of the problems that myself and others have had with Beanho’s seeds. "

The growers notes are as bad as they get. I'd stay away from that one.

Did you look at CBD Crew for seeds?? Lot's of low thc / high cbd strains, not those claimed high thc and cbd strains but they don't have test results and if you find them elsewhere it's .7% CBD's. I've never tried them before just saying. I'm hoping for some pennywise seeds(tga) when they are in stock myself. It would be too high of a thc content for you though. Have you tried any baked goods or a tincture?

Growers notes quoted are for a different breeder. Checking cannabiogen, looks much better. I bolded that info above Looks like ACE and world of seeds also do PCK.

Thanks for the reference. I'll give it a read.

but as stated previously in the thread, Z7 which is high CBD was consistently a headache provoker. Only strain that ever did that to me (except for shit mexican brick weed in the 70's).

I've read alot about TGA, and there are warnings about Sub's space queen pollen in many of his strains being racy/anxiety provoking. Don't know about pennywise, I'll have a look.

Ate brownies back in the day, even then when I was habitual heavy daily user, eating pot was too much, left me comatose. I suppose I could try super small doses, but seriously, I don't do more than 2 hits off the vape.

My mom uses any where from 2.4 - 3.4 grams of hash per batch, when she makes cookies. Gets about 30 cookies per batch so .08 to .113 g per cookie, low doses and it's easy to operate cookies no batterys or cords required LOL. She takes them everywhere finds them helpful day and night.

So......just powder the hash, or never press it.....then just mix it into a normal size cookie mix?
