this was my feeling too.. server crashes with likes activated.. they set them to disabled.. members are deactivated weird

I look at it this way. If it's one poor guy hacking a server somewhere, then it takes time to roll out a fix.

Another scenario is, it's simply another poorly run alphabet soup front in which case the code may never be fixed.

Either way I don't think their opinion of the end user makes much difference. I wish it did. I might try to act charming. Ok that wouldn't work but you get my drift.

Frankly I wish they'd let minne attempt to fix it. Whether he did or didn't at least something interesting might happen

It has made me wonder about the inner workings - which for a website is a fail. But then I think back on CNs admonition about it being a free site. But something about this doesn't sound like the kind of thing where a bunch of money will magically solve this. Am I wrong?

I am guessing, but I kind of assume that this is more a function of this thing growing from humble roots - without a business plan, etc. but at some point, decisions have to be made. It would comfort me to know WTF is going on and that this will lead to real fixes. It might be some good PR too.
