Epsom Salts Mix?

i have a magnisium problem and the growFAQ said this would work.. what is it where can i find it and how do i use it? "Epsom salts mix "
 
its pretty much just a type of salt for plants, you can get it at probly any store with a garden center
 
it shouldnt be to much, and for how to use it it should tell you on the package if i remember right
 
before you salt your soil up........


is your ph right. mag gets locked up if ph is off. do you ph often and what are you feeding your plant.
 
well my plant is two and a half weeks old 2 plants have 4 nodes and is starting the 5th the other i had to cut the first node cuz it died and now its growing the 4th node for that one.... the reason why i think ill be needing the epsom salt is..,,,,,,,

the bottom node leafs tips start to discolor yellow with a little dead brown right at the tip and it worked its way down the leaf turning the whole leaf yellow and it seems to be working its way up the plants..

i dont kno how to check my ph well i do but i dont kno where to get the strips if even thats how u test it
 
I think all grocery stores sell epsom salt

My wife gets her's at Kroger she soaks her feet in it why I don't know

She puts a few tablespoons in a pan of warm water

sits in front of the tv and says hon get me this hon get me that

and I get a kiss every time I get her something

we have only been doing this for 17 years

ain't love sweet
 
I'm not sure the epsom salts found at the supermarket is the way to go. Def make sure it is water soluble. If you have a nursery or grow store near you I would recommend something formulated specifically for plants. It is typically derived from magnesium sulfate and has just the right balance of Mag and Sulfur that your girls are so desperately needing... foliar feeding will generate quicker results.Good luck, and happy farming! :lol:

I use epsom salt in my late stages of flowering to avoid magnisium def-. Works great even after leafes start to yellow you can quickly get them back to good health. I only know of using epsom salts in flowering. Good luck :wall:
 
I would not use salt peter..different chemical make up....epsom salt is Magnesium sulfate amd saltpeter is potasium nitrate....

also dont injest the saltpeter or you can forget about getting a stiffy during sex...lol....

look for epsom salt at a pharmacy or maybe its called Magnesium sulfate where u live.....

I purchased Epsom Salts from the grow store because I read somewhere that you should get the type sold in nursery stores. Well, I had some of the kind that you soak your aching muscles and feet already. I did a comparison, the ingredients on the labels were exactly the same. The one in my bathroom cost $4 and the one from the grow store cost $14, for the same exact product and amount. Just don't get the kind that has fragrance or other stuff added for use in your grow garden. Plain epsom salts is the same, the difference is in the price tag!;-)

I use 1 tablespoon to a gallon of water also. When I prepare my soil mixture for my containers I always add epsom salts to the soil mixture. A little goes a long way in the soil mixture, about 1/3 cup to a 1.5 cubic feet of base mix. If I add during the growing period (vegging and flowering) I'll put the tablespoon to a gallon and water my plants. I only add 2-4 time during the entire grow as I see it is needed (yellowing and light green leaves). Go easy and see how it works for you.
